Omega Squad (All on one base) Options

Here is an Omega Squad custom that I did for my best friend (Pericles). He gave me the idea and I just executed it. The brown pieces are battle droid parts as if the squad just banged through a door and started shooting.

Thats freaking sweet! And I like the idea of a whole squad on one base for some reason. Could have some fun play mechanics.

Okay, here's my shot:

Republic Commando Squad - Omega
Cost: 37
HP: 90
Def: 17
Atk: +9
Dmg: 20

Special Abilities
Order 66
Stealth
Quad Attack
Mobile Attack
Grenades 10
Stable Footing
Sniper
Door Gimmick
Rapid Entry Device (Replaces turn: Designate 1 adjacent door as open; it remains open for the rest of the skirmish and cannot be closed. This character may then move normally, up to its speed, and make all available attacks.)

My rationale: I tried to pull-in at least one unique ability from all 4 units (replacing Accurate with Sniper due to possible abuses with Quad). Stable to make the fig more playable. Def, Atk, and Dmg are straight from their respective figs. Dropped HP due to the potential benefit of Shields 2. Costed so that this fig, combined with Commando Sargeant and Captain Rex, comes to exactly 100 pts. 37 seems like the right number, anyway.

Thoughts?

I'm a little biased, because I don't like multiple figures on one base, but it appears you used a Huge base for this - while it looks like a nice display (which is likely what you were going for - in which case it looks good), gameplaywise it'd be extremely odd (thinking squeeze and 4 people taking up 9 squares).

It probably is more for display, but if my friend wanted to play it in a casual game I couldn't begrudge him despite the game-play oddities. We'd just make a house-rule or something. I guarantee you I will see this thing accross the board at least onceWink

If I really wanted to be more accurate, I would have given it the Squad abilities (Assault, Defense, and the other one). Then I would have added the caveat that this character counts as 4 characters for the purposes of Squad abilities. BigGrin

I think the way he has it now is cool, but it would go better if they were on a large base, for gameplay.
