A debate recently sprung up over this: I played a game where I had Jariah Syn and 2 demolitionists killed, but rolled an 11 for reserves later in the game. Is there anything preventing me from using Jariah and the ugnaughts as my 30 points of reserves? It is not addressed in the glossary text, but my opponent deemed it unfair that I could "bring my pieces back from the grave".

You can bring back any piece with reserves except Uniques that are already in your squad, even if they have been defeated earlier.
So in your case, you could bring back the Ugs, but not Jariah.
