I tell you what! i'm not a huge fan of the clone Wars, It being somewhat of a dissapointment( I still watch it regularly), But seeing that in person during the GL interview gave me goosebumps!. I think that George Lucas realizes that Maul's screen appearance was short. Perhaps he didn't have any idea that Maul would be so popular! Also from the interview, You can see that GL is 100 % behind the making of the Clone wars cartoon, unlike other endeavors. They are mostly his stories, his input. That interview was also very telling by the way. I hope they put the entire interview on You tube, As there were somethings he brought out that were very different then the many interviews he has given before! Very Cool!

I'm not saying I dislike or like the Maul thing. Like I said, I don't know how I feel. I'm torn in several directions at once. I'm not fond of the Nightsister thing. But, it's not a deal breaker for me. Heck, if Ahsoka wasn't, I'm not sure anything can!

The entire interview is there just in many parts, links to part 7 & 8 are up above but if you go to the right side all the parts are there.

I See that this thread has been moved to off topic forum and qvos has a thread there already about the same thing. As such no point in having two threads about the same thing and as qvos had he's thread up first, please use that thread.

Lucas just said that they were from Assaj's planet where the Women ruled over the men. Which is a definate nod if nothing else to the nightsisters. I could be wrong but I don't remember Lucas saying that they were nightsisters.

Dooku calls them Nightsisters in the actual Trailer.
I don't mind the Nightsisters, but at least this season looks more interesting. I only saw one clip with Ashoka and no clips with JarJar, this bodes well.

Don't knock Ahsoka: It's my 5-year-old girl's fave. Someone in marketing knows how to hook the younglings. It can't all be for the fanboys. :)
She isn't nearly the monstrosity of JarJar.

She isn't nearly the monstrosity of JarJar. I understand why she's there (Unlike Jar Jar, when the main character was already an annoying kid) and I'm not even that bitter about her being in the cartoon and I begrudgingly accept her role. I even find the idea of Anakin having an apprentice intriguing, I just wish she was portrayed differently, and didn't remind me so much of Hayden Panitierre (sp). Arguably she's one of the reasons that the show will be around for at least another 2 seasons, because the little ones like her. I'm just saying it was hard for me to watch the season and half that I did because of her (I gave up halfway through last season because all the episodes were seemingly about Ashoka) I'm currently going back and watching the 2nd half at my own pace, I somehow couldn't rationalize to myself why I was sitting through a bunch Children's commercials so I could watch an episode centered around character that I found rather annoying. With her having a less visible role in the trailer; I'm hoping, personally, that she has a less prominent role in Season 3. That being said, 5 year olds like just about anything.
