Lololol. To be fair I would never have known had I not discovered the SWM internet community though.

WotC discontinued their complete Star Wars line (Miniatures and RPG) couple months back. Right now they do not have a license to sell any of the Star Wars stuff.

You mean:

V-Sets Confused

I think I'm holding my opinion till they're all released and have a chance to play them and see them played.

I'm for the V-Sets, but I am concerned the prices of existing mini's will change once the v-sets come out. I don't want that to happen.

It's typical "supply vs demand" tactic. The design team is only suggesting minis that seem logical for the piece, so it's possible some mentioned may be difficult to get. It will be interesting to see what happens once the V-Set is released.

Really guys, the odds of it doing anything is darn close to 0, for so many reasons. If you have been around in the game, you would already know that game play has seldom affected prices. Add to that that the demand is not going to be nearly the same as say a V-CCG card that everyone needs 4 of to play it in their decks. And for that matter, unlike a 360 set of cards, where getting them all was tough to begin with, and getting 4 of everything even tougher, in minis you need 1 of every unique, 2 if you want to customize the V-set version of a remake. Big deal, demand will not be changed in a significant way.

Mod Edit: Removed inflamatory comment.

No offense, cause I don't know you from Joe down the block, but what do you have against bloomilk so much? This is not the first time I've seen a post with you knocking on bloomilk. Why post here then?

You haven't been here long enough to understand the reason, lol.

Guys, please don't make this thread get closed by the mods. If you have a problem instead of posting Reply, why not send a PM instead?

Guess so. I mean, I've only been on here for a few weeks and those I've met and played with on Vassal have all been real cool. But every time I come to the forums, there's a new post about how bad Bloomilk is, or how those at Bloomilk cant grasp the importance of the new V-Set. I'm not registered at gamers, and from what I see from those who come here and post, I'm not sure I want to be. If someone has a concern, they will have that concern no matter what you say until they see it for themselves. Coming here and knocking on anyone who questions you, and from what I've read it seems Billy is on the team making the squads (at least he talks as though he is) it really hurts your own credibility with your remarks. In other words, why don't those making the set shut up until its out so we all can see it then they can defend their decisions and the effects their decisions have on the entire community. You don't have to know any history to know you catch more flies with sugar than vinegar (but cow crap will get you the most - not sure how that fits in BigGrin )

It is too early to know what the effect V sets will have on the current singles prices. Short of Virtualizing Mouse Droid, Ugnaught Demos, or Stormcommandos, I don't think the demand will cause a much of a ripple in singles prices.

Also, do not let the occaisonal drama affect how you view either site. It is okay to have concerns about either site.

That said, this line of talk ends now. Get the thread back on topic.

[mod edit - swinefeld] this line of talk has already been addressed and put to rest above. Keep on topic.

Bill is right. Very little has ever affected the prices of the pieces. The biggest impact on piece price has been secondary demand market, i.e. fan-boy stuff. Revan, Boba Fett, Cad Bane, etc. It's always been about people who don't play the game, but want to buy the pieces to put on display in their collections.

I am locking this thread as the only new post in 5 days was revisiting issues which are off-topic and had already been put to rest. - swinefeld
