Really? I don't have an issue with it, I just don't understand either position on this. I don't understand the "Request" and I don't understand the "Respect". Let's not lose perspective here, we are talking about a game, right? We're not giving away the codes to a briefcase nuke. Perhaps people are little too wrapped up in themselves over a dying game. Shouldn't we be promoting things like this everywhere to encourage people to continue playing. Seems to me there are better things to worry about than the sanctity of some made-up stats? I don't know, perhaps the stats aren't worth sharing. Maybe they are so bad that the people who made them are too embarrased to see them posted publicly elsewhere. I don't know, I'm just speculating.

I know if I made some stats I would share them with the world, but then I'm probably better at making stats than most people. I'm just naturally talented in a lot of ways. When I think about it I rarely even practiced playing SWM and I was considered one of the best palyers in the world; and I could probably still beat most people even though I only play once every 3 months or so. Actually, some of my SWM stat submissions were used by WotC and I own the original concept artwork for a couple of those pieces (Jeff Carlisle was the artist). Anyway, enough about me and my resume'.

I'm going to take a look at these stats and post them up on a popular Star Wars discussion site (which will go nameless out of Respect for that website). The website is a thousand times bigger than Gamers and Bloomilk combined, I don't think they will care about the whole "respect the request" thing.

...and all this time I thought I was the only one with a beach ball sized inflated ego head. LOL!



P.S. In addition to my inflated ego head I also seem to have a lot more common sense than most people. I stick out like a sore thumb around gamers who all seem to be a little quirky IMO. I'll be honest, I think most Miniature players are a little goofy, but I suppose they aren't as bad as some of the booger eating RPGers I have played with over the years. Maybe I should just stick with collecting baseball cards. Go REDS!

I never understood all the arguing about this V-set. It’s a really cool group project being done by a website. It’s no different then any of the custom map projects or any of the big customs things that have been done over the years.

If Gamers wants to keep the stats in-house so that they can get the traffic on the site then respect them. They have a sponsored site, they need the hits to keep the website going. If the website doesn’t generate traffic, the sponsors dip out, and the website goes down. It’s that simple. It isn’t an in-crowd out- crowd thing.

I admit I don’t like a lot of the hostility that comes from over there, and I do think it’s a bit over the top, nonetheless why don’t we just respect there wishes? There’s no need go posting this stuff at a third website, Shawn. That is pretty petty, and I think you know it.

My suggestion to the fine members of bloomilk, come up with your own big project that everyone can work on. Create your own “destiny”, no pun intended. Concentrate on your love of the game instead of this completely ridiculous conflict.

I'm not arguing about the V-Set, I'm just going to make it more public for people to see (just doing my part to keep the game going). If they ask where they can find more information I will direct them to Gamers. Also, I wouldn't call StarWars.com a third website, you might make George mad. LOL!

What I would really like to know is why the SWM Czar's are always doing something goofy? It's like the intentions are good, but in the end it gets all messed up because somebody goes and says or does something wierd (sort of like my posts on this thread). People at home are thinking, who is this guy? Is he serious? Is trying to make a point? I don't know, but it's very entertaining.
