Wow, those were helpful comments to a user's question.
In my opinion Wizard's messed up when they gave him Force Absorb. Nowhere in the movies does he use it, I think they should have given him force sense instead becasue he was always sensing things through the living force. Just my opinion.

I thought it was just a way to show him fighting Maul. Absorb to cancel Sith Rage, to make it an interesting fight. You would have to ask Rob why he gave it to him. Not all design decisions have an obviou in universe explanation.

That makes "sense" but it still an extremely powerful ability to be put in to cancel out one other force power.

Keep in mind, it was a different time when Qui-gon was designed. Only 4 sets were planned at that point, with CS being the second one. There were not a whole lot of powers to cancel at that point in the game.

That is true. I am 18 and been playing for two yearsish. The history of the game is foriegn to me. I just like the game =)
