If Luke Skywalker, Rebel Commando (who has Cunning Attack) is in a squad with General Crix Madine (who gives Cunning Attack +20), does he get an extra +4 Attack and +10 Damage, an extra +8 Attack and +30 Damage, an extra +4 Attack and +20 Damage, or just stick to attacking activated enemies to avoid the confusion? Cunning X does not stack with Cunning X. So if a character has Cunning +10 and Cunning +20 you pick the one you are using.

This is not quite correct.

If a character is benefiting from two levels of the same non-optional ability, the highest one would be in effect. You cannot choose which one to use.

if you were attacking a Self Destruct character with 40 HPs and only wanted to do 30 to it, then back away and shoot it later.

yeah but if you are attacking jar jar in most instances you would not get cunning if he redirected it to you.

But that's assuming the attack gets redirected back to you, which doesn't have to be the case. Say Jar Jar ran up adjacent to both Han Smuggler and Luke in the previous round. With Cunning +20, if Jar Jar makes both of his Bombad Gungan saves and redirects the attacks to Han, that's a dead Han. With just Cunning +10, it's only a very hurt Han, not a dead one.
