No. It works like a standard Dam bonus.

The only rare occasions that you would multiply a bonus is if it specifically says so (Shaper, Poison Blade). All others are just regular modifiers (trust me, I'd love to see the Ithorian Commander make it so you can double it, that'd be so much fun).

Quote: Poisoned Blade
+10 Damage to 1 adjacent target; this counts as a melee attack. This attack deals an extra 20 Damage to a living enemy; save 11.
Glossary Text:
Whenever this character attacks an adjacent enemy, it deals 20 damage instead of 10. This counts as a melee attack. The attack gets a +20 bonus to Damage if it hits an adjacent living enemy. A living target can avoid this extra damage with a save of 11.
Why does it double on a crit?

Poisoned Blade is not the cleanest, ruleswise. Pretty much, doing 20 instead of 10 is the key phrase, essentially saying they are doing 20 base dam, vs their standard 10, not just a bonus.

Lets take a base 10 damage piece with Opportunist for example. One could easily say "Whenever this character attacks an activated enemy, it deals 20 damage instead of 10." and this would be a true statement. But we all know you don't multiple this damage. How was it figured out that the damage for poison blade should be multiplied? Rob? NickName?

Hey you can't go around and change wordings only to be in line with the point you are trying to make. Opportunist (as all the others) clearly state that it's a bonus.
And seriously... Sithborg's answers to your question should be more then enough. No need to ask for more.

I'm not changing the wording. Im making a true statement in the same format that poison blade uses and showing it to be true. Quote:And seriously... This ruling is one of the less clear ones out there, so some discussion is okay.
If the wording for Opportunist was the same, then it would work the same way as Poisoned Blade.
You may want to ask Nickname for specifics, but the rulings/FAQ he makes generally has some input from the designer.

Poisoned Blade changes the amount of Damage from 10 to 20. You double the amount of Damage on a crit.
Opportunist adds a +10 bonus to Damage after doubling the amount of Damage on a crit.
You can go on a yellow light, but that doesn't make the light green. (ie, describing Opportunist informally doesn't change the formal difference between a bonus to the Damage stat and changing the Damage stat.)
Granted, it could have been worded better, but this was the design intent for the abilty and it's close enough for rock and roll.
