Ok so im doing this enngineering course at college and the guy said if i bring my own materials and come in my own time i can make anything I want  so im guna make a lightsaber handle out of aluminum and the blade out of a removable wooden rod. but iv been thinking about colour..... Iv always been a fan of the sith so I was thinking red but I always like blue lightsabers and now iv turned to liking green more also i wanted something obscure like purple or yellow but I cant make up my mind. so cast your vote and ill see what you think

What about a solid plastic/poly rod? Drill a hole down the center and drop glow sticks of whatever color you want in it.

thats actually a good idea. light weight durable (more so then wood) hmmm may have to re-think my original idea. and itll be life size to id need a few glow sticks

Maybe sand/frost the surface so you can't see the hole down the center or the seperate light sticks. Heck, it's not my money- get two rods one sanded one not. You have to post pictures of the finished lightsabre.

Since you aren't planning to duel-wield, green/purple duo is out... So I say classic blue!
And any plans on the hilt design yet?

yea i was looking at kind of a Master kota type look so blue or green are in (i may even go all out and get it wraped in leather). (hey whats wrong with duo green? my main character (ozzel organa solo) uses duo green. but then again id probly go for blue anyway) I may make one and then if i like ill do another. havnt started yet work b4 play and all that

I really love white sabers, it's unique and looks great. Yellow is cool as well.
