So I'm going with a fun theme squad - the All Gungan Hit Squad, and while I dont actually expect to win with it or anything, I'd like to at least increase the odds a touch. I was thinking something like this:
20 Tarpals 11 Gungan Artillerist 18 Gungan Shieldbearer x2 09 Gungan Soldier 18 Jar Jar Binks 09 Gungan Bounty Hunter x2 09 Gungan Infantry
So that brings us to 121 points. I was thinking of adding a total non-sequitor into the mix, something like:
56 Jango Fett, Bounty Hunter
He's added into the squad pretty much based on the "How strange is that?" factor and that the Gungans need someone with range. Beyond that however, any suggestions would be welcome.

im accually thinking of running something similar for my groups Episode 1 tourney. Queen Amidala is pretty sweet with the gungans giving them mobile and making them cost 1 less. Poncho Qui Gon may fit well with them too if your working on a theme

I didnt quite have the room for Poncho Qui-Gon, so I went with Jedi Trainer QG instead. Here's what I wound up with (with a slight tweak or two): http://www.bloomilk.com/Squad/Details/95722--The Gungan Beatdown Squad-- 56 Jango Fett, Bounty Hunter 24 Qui-Gon Jinn, Jedi Trainer 20 Captain Tarpals 17 Gungan Shieldbearer 18 Jar Jar Binks 16 Queen Amidala 10 Gungan Artillerist 18 Gungan Bounty Hunter x2 16 Gungan Soldier x2 4 Youngling
(199pts. 12 activations)

How many Gungan Artillerists do you have? If more than one, I'd drop Jango for more of them. They are definitely your ranged guys for Gungans.

Instead of Jango, if you have Clone Strike Yoda, he can make Jar Jar make sure you DO win some games...;) Also R2 Astromech would go along with the theme, and make sure you don't get locked out of anything, if that is an issue. Either way, have fun!

I've got a couple more ideas for themes, but nothing that's solid yet - nothing that I've had a chance to put together yet.
And no, sadly I dont have the Clone Strike Yoda. I do, on the other hand have plenty of Artillerists. I'll have to try them out and see how they work.
