I realize that most of you are not thinking of Regional event for 2011 but I have to at this point because it is coming quickly on my calender. Understand I have to set this up and Gencon so I have to get an early start.
Anyways. I am looking for people to post here that think they have been left out of the Regional loop. Do you have a location that can pull say 12 players in any one tourney. If you plan it out can you? Well if you can and currently dont have a regional then lets talk. Tell me where you are... Lets see if it hits a target area on my map. The perfect example I can give right off hand would be Arizona. There is nothing close by but unfortunately I have no idea how many players are there. So if you can tell me something I dont know about your area please do.

yes there will be a vassal regional.
Kezz personally I dont think it would be a bad idea. Get a Regional in NZ together if you can get the players. just dont use a Gencon badge as a prize buy some online cases or locally from your store and have a large event. There is no reason we cant do that and make this worldwide. I think it would be fun. If you have not experienced a large tournament like a regional or gencon you are missing out on a great day of fun with some star wars lunatics like yourself. Win lose or draw you will have a great time and have some great pics to share.

-->Charlotte, NC.
Just throwing an idea out there. I spoke with a Charlotte member (jhc36) who said their game store is moving to a larger location. Also they should get plenty of folks from the area (Atlanta Ga, and Columbia SC, for example), putting them around 20 players, if it works out...

I've actually already been discussing a NC regional a little bit :D. It's my baby for this year, a Regional and a big tournament coming February more than likely.

It might be worth mentioning that I am trying to build up a New Zealand database (in some loose) form of SWM players. I intend to at least see firstly who's out there and secondly see if there's any interest in a New Zealand Regional - be it a Vassal one or not... or both! Once I've gone a little bit further down this road, I'll try some communications wi' Sashlon and see what kinda support there is from Oz for the same thing. We'll see how far this goes! Register your interest: Star Wars Miniatures Down Under or contact me however you can! Peace.
