So I think I'm going to start doing non star wars dioramas after the new year. So I was wondering if any had any general help or tips. I plan to go with 1:35 scale and do some sort of military theme like a small encounter between soilders.

funny you posted this as this is what I was going to the store for today! I suggested to some one a while back about stuff to get to do customs and the art shop by my house has diaromma kits and extra stuff... like bags of snow, sand, bushes, rocks etc
They have diaromma boxs for $10 and $15 to get you started, inside the box is everything you need... mind you there for school project diaromas but you just get some extra stuff from the art store, add some of your own mini's and SHAAZAAM!!! I think the art store by my house that sells them is called michaels, I'm going to do a death star scene, I did an xmen scene before with some herclix I cut up.
Pretty cheap and easy way to get you started on the tools and stuff you need like modelling putty and stuff for scenery
