I for one am very leery when I do a trade, as a matter of fact, you can ask DarthBane53 about this. It took us 1 whole day to negotiate how we were going to send to each other, and it worked out for the best. Granted, he has a much higher trade rating then I do, and the guidelines on Bloomilk allow him to send after I do, which is OK in most cases, but for someone like me who reads every other day about someone getting ripped off, by members who have great trade Refs, it makes me uncomfortable to do business with others, because its like rolling the dice and taking a chance. there are too many stories about people getting ripped off on this site, an the sad part is, the 90 day warning just doesn't cut it. Sure, the 90 day warning works, but in the regards of people who back out on trades, not necessarily the people who scam. No system is perfect (tho Bloomilk has the best around). So, should people who have had MULTIPLE Complaints against them be banned? Should people who have 1 complaint against them be banned?
I propose this: ban the scammers, ban their IP address. Take a record of their address, so if they do change their IP address, you can can track them through their actual address/or PO box. Even if the person was to make a new IP address, they would Still have to send first. So in a sense, its an easier way to keep these goons at bay.

I am totally in favor of this.
I hope [a certain member] is the first to be dropped by this; he's been a nuisance and a scammer here for far too long.
mod edit swinefeld - let's keep individuals' names out of this and just discuss the topic.

Im not going to point fingers at the guy, because I haven't done any trades with him (and never will for obvious reasons.) but yes, enough is enough. We work on good faith when it comes to trades, and if you can't hold up the end of a bargain, then your word as a man is equal to PooDoo. Whenever I her about people stealing from others on this site, it makes me sick. I know it knocks the spirit of some people to have their minis they payed or traded for, get taken from them. Its just wrong. Throwing scammers on the 90 day warning list is almost an insult to those who have been ripped off.

Concerns about any particular action taken with regards to the BTL should be addressed to me via bloomail. Thanks.

So everyone knows, Im not Knocking the 90 day warning list. Im all for it. its a good way to show traders who has (hopefully) been banned and also shows who has renegged on trades. If someone goes out of their way to rip someone off, they are more then likely to do it again, and in higher volumes. The 90 warning for these peple is just a small slap on the wrist.

wow I must have lucky. +80 on the GTL. and I've never had a problem. Almost all of the trades have been in the US. some other county's postal service is not as honest and effective as ours.

You may want to double check out how the BTL works again. The 90 day warning is only half of the list. The other half has never really been needed before, thankfully. I have maybe 3 online trades to my name overall, and even I understand how it works. That said, moderator actions will not be up for popular vote. I see nothing positive this thread contributes, and only far, far too much room for it to get out of control.
