I have a 50$ itunes giftcard i recently bought from BestBuy, should i spend it on buying a whole season of Clone Wars? And if so, which one? I've been recently been watching all of Season 3, and because i've heard bad reports about it too i won't buy that season. So that leaves Season's 1 and 2. I've seen maybe 4-7 episodes from each season.

Which one should i buy (if any)??

I don't know how much it costs over there in the USA, but season 1 over here in Germany costs 13 euroes, with season 2 coming in at about 25. So I don't know exactly what the exchange rate is, but I'm fairly sure $50 is too high for a season and you shouldn't waste the money. Buy Cad Bane instead.

Don't waste it on CW. Around Christmas time you can find the Season DVDs on the cheap. Ted bought Season 1 for $20, and I got Season 2 for $20 this past Christmas.

Yeah, you can probably get season sets used for relatively cheap. Sellers on eBay have Season 1 listed for $25 and Season 2 listed for $26. I will say that some of the artistic style that goes into the show is lost between standard def and high def. It doesn't impact the story, but if you're the sort to get blown away just by the look of the show, seeing the show in HD is a much, much better experience.

Though as for suggesting individual episodes...

It seems like the episodes that give people the most fits are the ones that are seen as tinkering with canon, but there are a number of episodes that avoid doing so and are nice little stories tucked into pockets of the SW universe.

Season 1
Ambush
The Malevolence Trilogy (Rising, Shadow of, Destroy)
Rookies
Lair of Grievous

Season 2
The Deserter
Bounty Hunters (It's Seven Samurai!)
The Zillo Beast/The Zillo Beast Strikes Back (only if you don't mind a little Godzilla in your SW)
Death Trap
R2 Come Home
Lethal Trackdown

Season 3
Clone Cadets (this is actually set before Rookies and features the same main characters)
Arc Troopers (set after Rookies, same characters again)
Supply Lines
Sphere of Influence (George goes ballistic!)
Heroes on Both Sides

Other SW-related stuff you can find on the iTunes store...

Robot Chicken Star Wars episodes
Pleeeenty of various music albums and tracks
Star Wars audio books

If you have a Mac, you can get KotOR on the app store.

hey; thanks for all your replies. Wow; i had no clue. ITunes is currently selling each season @regularHD @ 35 bucks. HD is 51!

@eMouse: it seems to me season 1 focused on the typical 'good vs. Bad' battles. Season 2 was the 'renegade and rogues' kind of season; where you see the fringe side of the war; and season three was politics and the 'strange' part of the war; IMHO. Yea; ive seen about 1/2 of those episodes youve mentioned; and ive gotta say; theyre pretty good. I loved the Rookie trilogy. Theyre also seen briefly in the Citadel episode; as ARC troopers. Ill check out those other episode previews on iTunes. Can you buy the season DVD in HD? And if so; how much?

Blu-Ray is high def, DVD is standard def. Generally you can find the Blu-Ray version for $10 more than the DVD version, but look around on eBay and Google shopping to find the best price. You might be able to find it new for what a lot of people want for it used.
