Here's the situation: The lancer is pawned, unactivated, and strafing a clone trooper within 6 of a czerka in a Mon Mothma death shot squad. Clone trooper dies from the strafe, and the death shot hits the lancer. The lancer fails the jolt save. What happens? Does it finish the pawned turn, or does it stop there?

Wow Jim, you are good at getting in interesting situations in your games. I would guess that it would finish it's pawned turn then be activated, not getting a turn of it's own. But I don't now for sure. (Lets see how close I am.)

Actually, that didn't happen in one of my games... I was just thinking of ways to build to beat a lancer and I realized that a situation like that very well could come up.

TreebeardTheEnt is right. It would finish up it's current turn, then be counted as activated, thus preventing it from taking it's regular turn.
This is covered under Activating Characters in the FAQ.

This is covered under Activating Characters in the FAQ. It would actually count as being activated immediately, right? For example, in the same squad, if the Lancer continues its strafe and next kills another Clone and Yularen is in the squad, then the Clone will now get Opportunist against the Lancer (while previously Death Shots on a Pawned turn (while the Lancer has not taken its regular turn yet) would not benefit from Opportunist, since the Lancer has not yet been "activated"), correct?

Yes. I should have phrased that a little better.
