This was posted over at WotC on the SWRPG side and I thought others may enjoy reading it

He wrote a very good article. Ive heard a few rants against those who wrote that petition but The Author of that article hit the nail on the head. For a long time, I tried to like everything about Star Wars. I loved both the OT which I grew up with and the PT. I have read most if not all of the novels and comics. Only in the last few years did I find myself kinda bummed at the way some things were going in the EU. I felt guilty about not liking it for some unknown reason. I got over it though and for the most part, I defend Everything Star Wars even if I don't like it.
Its funny, The guys at Siding World, our local siding warehouse know me as a huge SW fan and even call me Lord VAder which is pretty funny.
Anyway sorry for the rambling... It was a great articleThumpUp

I never really followed much Star Wars fiction beyond the movies and some of the comics. When I started reading Star Wars Tales, I realized Star Wars had gone from being a single, sometimes messy, continuity to being a genre. Sort of like Gundam or Transformers. Star Trek is almost sorta there as well.

+1 perfectly stated

The article is a nice summary of the whole issue and also offers some solutions. Definitely worth the read even you don't get into much beyond the movies. I enjoy all the parts of the SW universe for what they are and go with it. My griping is usually spawned from hoping for something better, but that's part of being a fan of anything. Thanks for the link.

I enjoy the books series like FotJ etc..my biggest grip is laughably the fans reaction to every single change.

I don't know. People who don't like what I like are probably agents of the Devil.
