So here we are, Voting Stage!
I realise there are more than 9 squads, so I have tried to pick what I think are the 8 best candidates. If however, you feel I have made a mistake, please vote 'Other' and leave a comment, that way everyones squads are in with a shout!

Apologies in advance if you dont agree with the 8 I chose, there isnt really a bad squad that anyone built. Some of my personal faves didnt make the cut (Sorry Juice man, I LOVED your WTF!? and Swiney, your true grit squad was great), Many Thanks to everyone who took time out to play the challenge and I might even consider sendng out a couple of VRs as a prize to the top 2. No promises tho :p

All the squads have their page added so if you want you can review before casting your vote. Thread is: http://www.bloomilk.com/Forums/default.aspx?g=posts&t=9076

((EDIT: The vote name is wrong, 'play it fight' was supposed to say fight it out, but i got distracted and made a boo boo LOL))

I'm going with other: Engineer's 2nd squad (page 3), with props to billiv15 on the concept.

My senate commandos wouldn't have too much trouble dropping Engineer's turrets, but those blasted ERCs would be vexing on many maps. Definitely liked all the Spotter (yeah, go ahead and get close to me Sneaky) and the double Tauntauns decided it for me. Bill's squad would be tougher to take down, to be fair. With Rieekan in the picture, ugh. I would have to close, and the spotters would tear me up.

Also, the Lancer squads are just nasty, and would completely destroy my guys.

Still, I had like 1200 damage potential per round (much less when mobiling of course) and Amidala cost me -3 pts. Flapper

My rebel build from page 3 is a much better squad (and the one I would play).
--300 faction only rebels--
52 Golan Arms DF.9 Anti-Infantry Battery x2
18 Rebel Leader
80 Elite Rebel Commando x5
16 General Crix Madine
70 Wookiee Freedom Fighter x5
26 Rebel Trooper on Tauntaun x2
14 Twi'lek Scout x2
24 Mon Calamari Tech Specialist x6

Restricted map list, floor rules
Time limit? (or to the end?) Either really changes the game.
Force renewal characters really like no gambit games.

I am free on the weekends when I don't have my kids. They are with me this weekend.

I would be happy to play both squads (that tied for second).

I still dont know how to use vassal (i know...)

BUT I did have a rebel squad ready to go, similar to yours engineer, just for kicks...

Luke's Snowspeeder
Rebel Officer x2
Mon Calamari Medic
Hoth Trooper x2
Bith Rebel x2
Rebel Snowspeeder x2
Golan Arms DF.9 Anti-Infantry Battery x2
Chewbacca of Hoth
Hoth Trooper with Repeating Blaster
Rebel Trooper on Tauntaun x2

does come to 300 pts, BUT i didnt want to come across as copy cat so i went with the stealth bombers instead. If squealchy wants to play in my stead as my stealth Bombers then im more than happy with that (being in UK makes times to play a little screwy anyways)

Blink Oh man, I'm the last person you want to represent your squad bro. I get smoked when I play against veteran SW mini players. Crying Maybe one of the other veterans would play in your stead. ThumpUp
