E chu ta!  my whole post was removed with out a PM ?  that kind a poodoo got me in hot water in the past  maybe darth perc is right  kee baatu baatu we were told by shinja to use star wars lingo instead of real curse words. so...what's the problem? you no like nayoke? pawa chuga?

jak, this battle is lost. A wise man told me (many, many times) "It takes two to have an argument". If person "A" won't argue, and person "B" keeps sounding out, hopefully, any impartial observers will get a good idea of the personalities of those involved.

1) No swearing. Profanity or vulgar language on Bloomilk is not permitted and will be edited out of posts containing them. There are plenty of other four letter words to replace them that do not offend the senses; you can use them as long as they are not offensive.
This does seem to suport your argument, but still ....

Do I really have to rehash this for everyone?
I felt it necessary to edit jak's first post before Sithborg came along and decided to clean the thread. Many of you probably didn't even see it before I edited it. I didn't take (or have) the time to go research what the stuff in Huttese meant. If I had, I probably would have deleted all of it.
What was troubling to me at the time was that jak responded directly to a post by billiv15 that:
1) did not mention jak by name
2) was based on fact
and
3) the response included an open admission by jak that he edited squad comments by billiv15 into profanity using moderator access (regardless of the timing of when it happened).
Read #3 again. Is that funny?
It seems that trying to be relaxed and giving jak a break for maintaining "good behavior" was a mistake.
None of us mind joking around, but what may seem like a "joke" to some in this instance has very different meaning to those who were part of the history. Finding clever ways to disguise baiting or attacking remarks does not get around the CoC.
Lastly, yes, the mods should generally notify members when we delete posts. Sometimes we can't get to that immediately (remember, we have lives too). In this case, I think most/all those who had posts deleted know fully well why they were removed. Sithborg will be the one to address that when he has time.
If you have any further comments, send me a bloomail. Disputes between members and moderators should be addressed to me as well. (unless your issue is with me, in which case go to a different mod and/or Shinja)
