Okay... this may be weird, but bear wi' me and help me out.
Trying to get some clarification for how cover works in a coupl'a situations. Firstly, Sniper... sniper says that other characters don't provide cover... now, does that apply for targeting AND for the +4 thingee? I heard somewhere (and 'somewhere' has been wrong many times before...) that it only counted for the targeting component of the shot but then you still had to add the +4 to the characters defense... Hmmm.
Second one, which is much the same - Lightsaber Throw 5 (and 3?) It says you ignore cover... but again, is that just for the targeting component - y'know, like it's an accurate shot-type o' thing - and the +4 still applies for the target's defense? Or, is it that the +4 is ignored too...
Help me Bloo-be-wan Kenobi, you're on my list of only hopes...

If an ability makes something not provide cover (Sniper), then you would disregard that obstacle for both targeting purposes as well as providing cover bonuses.
If an ability ignores cover (Lightsaber Throw 5), then you would only disregard obstacles for targeting purposes, but the target would still get any cover bonuses.

Also remember that for cloaked characters that abilities and force powers that IGNORE cover do allow you to target the cloaked character without being adjectent but they do still recieve the +4 defense bonus. Now I'm not sure if you can target a cloaked character with sniper if they are using another character to provide the required cover to enable the cloaking ability. I'm sure I've read something about it but I can't recall what it said off the top of my head.

If their only source of cover is from other characters, Cloaked is not in effect against an attacking enemy with Sniper.

Thanx ED for refreshing my memory I was pretty sure that cloaked characters using other characters as covers were still vunerable to sniper.
