Ladies and gentlemen, the donations have been rolling in, and the time to get your requests in for the next printing of Star Wars Miniatures Virtual Sets is now. We have great people who have volunteered to be Pointmen for this set, and they have each created a thread for you to post in to put in requests. We are doing one Pointman per state in the US (two for California), and then one person for each other country. Only requests received by July 1, 2011 will be guaranteed to receive their sets of Renegades and Rogues and The Battle of Theed Palace. Those people who graciously donated to the fundraising will also receive their set of the Epic characters debuting at Gencon. Please get your request in as soon as you can so your Pointman can get that information to our new distribution committee and packages can be ready for Gencon and for the others to be mailed out soon after Gencon concludes. On behalf of the entire community, I want to say THANK YOU for helping to keep this game alive and thriving!

These threads are at gamers, correct? Could you post a link to the forum? I see a couple threads in the general forum, but I'm pretty sure they are not what you are talking about.

If you have donated, do you need to put in a request as well?

My point man has a questionnaire on the site, and one of the questions is "did you donate". So, i assume yes, you still need to do it.

So, will R&R, Theed, and the Epic set be unable to be downloaded on Gamers like DotF?

If you've donated, we have all your information (for the most part). If you want to post in the pointman thread, then that helps link your username and real name as needed.
Renegades & Rogues, Battle of Theed and Epic will all be available to be downloaded on Gamers at the time of Release (end of GenCon ~Aug 7th). Sorry if that was unclear.

Good to know. My friends have been asking me for a while about when the next V-set was coming, and I couldn't remember anything about the date at all.

Wait, I thought the number you could print would depend on the amount donated?
I know you can't technically sell the V-Set but you also need to make sure you don't lose money over the project, else it will become unsustainable as the years go by.
Could you clarify how the funding will work this time round? Also, this is a non-contentious request, I am just curious as to how this will work.

July 1st is our planned cut off day for determining how many to order from the printer. The 5k estimate was for 600 of RaR, 600 BoT and 300 Epic sets. That was 4200 for printing, and 800 for shipping. But if the demand is higher than that, we may in fact order more. With a little less than a month to go, we are close to the goal, so it's possible we will print more. The Epic sets are a higher cost than regular cards, so we limited the print number to start with, but that's probably where we will add more sets first, so we can get them out to even more players.

That's not much for shipping but I guess you will be giving out a lot at GenCon and there is the whole pointmen thing. I just wanted to make sure I was helping rather than being a burden but based on those numbers I feel ok about this. I am glad there is some set aside for postage and cannot wait to get my set, I love the first lot. Cheers for the clarification.

I'd like all 3. I haven't donated yet, but I plan to.

Yeah, that's why we limited the shipping estimate, handing out most at Gencon. But that's also one of the reasons we won't mind going over the goal either. We don't want to be in a spot like with DotF. But even if we manage to raise 6k-7k, we will certainly be able to use it to get more sets out to more people.
