In the Summer of 2012, at Gencon, your SWM's design team plans to release a 2nd epic set with a mixture of new Epic characters (Epic D5-6uos and 500pt Epic Format) with 5-7 Star Wars Vehicles. The Epic characters are intended to work with the 12 we released this summer and to continue to add to those formats. The Vehicles are meant for scenario play, but should be more usable than the ATAT :). What I want to know is what are the communities most wanted SWs vehicles. I have a working list already, and I suspect I could answer this, but have at it. Give me your top 5-10 that you'd like a stat card for. Like our other "what do you want" threads, you can give stats, or ideas as well for these as you desire. If you want to give character suggestions, those are welcome also.
Don't worry for now about sizes, but if you have a good figure to use for a RM, feel free to suggest it. We will be working out the kinks on sizes later, so for now, you can just ignore it. But don't go much bigger than an ATAT :). Think in terms of DDM sizes, Huge/Gargantuan/Colossal. Remake of existing figures are allowed as a suggestion as well.

When it comes to vehicles my thoughts are: AAT AT-TE (colossal sized) LAAT/i Gunship (colossal sized but could be represented as a huge) TIE fighter (TIE tank) -- problem here is this really isn't a ground support style ship although there are other fighters I'd like to see as well. Juggernaut (colossal sized - AT-AT) AT-PT

Serious and long overdue attention needs to be paid to remake the following:
AT-AT AT-ST Imperial Speederbike Skiff
and also for Sheets and Giggles
Luke and or Leia on Speederbike Chewie & Ewoks in AT-ST
everything else is filler - work in an upgraded Rancor and you're golden.
In addition a Sarlacc would not be frowned upon.

AT-TE (Colosal): Definatly on the top of my list is the AT-TE, always loved that thing since battle front! Junk Titan (Huge): (From the xbox version of TFU) always wanted to see a mini of one of thoes guys, was there even a 'junk golem' in the game? Chewi (and maybe wicket) in AT-ST: (Huge) Saw some one else mention it and it would be a pretty cool idea! I can see the customs now! AT-PT (Huge/Large): Maybe a useable figure with missles 40, and or a cool new ability with he being able to use missles 20 twice a turn? AT-KT and or Admiral Ozzels super AT-KT: (Huge): I like AT-ST's A better, any type of Krayt Dragon Decimator (Large): From the star wars Galactic Battle Grounds computer game, thoes things were awesom! Maybe another BIG D figure? AAT (Huge): We just need one. Thats all I can think of for now!

OK, bear with me on this one because its going to take some space to explain. I created a Fambaa (from The Phantom Menace) a few years back but I can't find the card. It doesn't really matter though because the stats wouldn't stand up in today's game. But the special ability "Gungan Shield Generator" is what made the figure interesting. The basic idea was to make it so that you couldn't target someone who was inside the shielded area if you were outside of it. The description is a little long, but if you can follow the logic it really is an interesting. So here it is. By the way, I designed it with the thought that it would be a Huge base, but it could be larger.
Gungan Shield Generator (This character and characters within 6 squares of this character cannot target or be targeted by characters who are not within 6 squares of this character. Characters who are not within 6 squares of this character cannot draw line of sight through squares within 6 squares of this character. This character loses Gungan Shield Generator and gains Savage if it has less than half Hit Points remaining.)
I'll describe my thinking sentence by sentence to clarify my logic. Maybe someone could simplify it to make it shorter.
1 - This character and characters within 6 squares of this character cannot target or be targeted by characters who are not within 6 squares of this character. - Basically, if you are outside the shield, you can't target people inside it. If you're inside the shield, you can't target people outside it.
2 - Characters who are not within 6 squares of this character cannot draw line of sight through squares within 6 squares of this character. - This protects people on the opposite side of the shield who are still outside of the shield.
3 - This character loses Gungan Shield Generator and gains Savage if it has less than half Hit Points remaining. - In the movie, the shield was destroyed before the Fambaa died and the Fambaa went crazy and started trampling droids. The Savage part could be taken out, but I think it fits with the story.
I suggest giving it HP in the range of 100-140, but give it an average melee attack rating with 20 damage. This probably won't work well in EPIC Duos, but would be a lot of fun in a 500pt squad.
Play a game or two with it. It is a lot of fun.

My top five for my epic vehicles wish list would be: 1. Blizzard 1. For people who plyaed star wars CCG, this is General Veers AT-AT. A suggestion for a new ability would be Maximum Firepower (as from the movie) and I think it should be a really powerful replaces turn attack. Oh and suggested mini would be an AT-AT. 2. AAT. I'd like to see some really good missiles abilities on this tank. 3. AT-TE. Rapport for AT-RT's would be a good idea sine they were deployed from them in battle. 4. Juggernaught. This thing should have some sort of point defense system reflected in its abilities. 5. Jabba's Sail Barge. It did have that giant dual laser cannon in the front, so I think it should have a good damaging attack called something like Heavy Laser Cannon. Also, it would have rapport for Jabba the Hutt.

Shield Generator Fambaa 27 Hit Points: 100 Defense: 12 Attack: 0 Damage: 0 Special Abilities Shield Generator (Characters within 6 cannot target enemies or be targeted by enemies farther than 6 squares away from this character) The largest terrestrial herbivores of the swamp, fambaas were technically amphibians but had the scaly hide of reptiles and were native to the Gungan swamps of Naboo

And doesn't take into account characters on the opposite side of the shield. I also think the shield should be able to be destroyed without killing the Fambaa. Just trying to stay consistent with the movie.

Actually... just thinking about it, you could get a Huge base, completely cut off the mini, then print-out a piccy of the Sarlacc and glue it on. Presto. He (obviously) has emplacement... bang him down somewhere. Presto (again).

Idea for an epic vehicles scenario:
How about "Slave I" preparing for take off (or any ship really). One team is making a run for the ship, while the other team is trying to stop their escape. The ship basically has emplacement and access to its weapons. After a certain number of rounds the ship is able to take off, and the game ends.

This would be interesting, but only functional for its one scenario, unlike the other epics which CAN be used in alternate formats. On the same subject, this is about the only way i'd like to see a space capable vehicle added to the game. I hate that we have snow speeders. I mean, yes, they fit for AT-AT battles, but they're legal in standard play. The idea of piloting a snow speeder down a 2-square wide hallway in the jedi temple at 300mph is one of the silliest game design choices, imo. I hate it more than not being able to target squares with grenades, or not being able to block enemies with the lightsaber special ability.
