Let me be the 1st (and hopefully not the only) of the NOVA guys to RSVP (tentatively) for the tournament! I would love to make it up and there's a chance I can get at least 2-3 others of our group up there also. It would only be fitting for one of us to take an FX off your hands! Here's to hoping it all works out for us to make it!

BTW, what's the weather like up there in the middle of Feb.?

@ DarthMalus... That would be fitting indeed and think on this Kris... Should there be a repeat winner on Sunday, then he or she can couple the two blades together. Weather should be excellent for snow tubing 20's to low 30's but we're on track for the second warmest winter on record. In any event here is hoping that the contigents from NOVA, Akron & PA will be well represented at FrostyCon.

I for one am looking forward to seeing everyone again and would very much like to reciprocate on the hospitality shown to Steve & myself over the WAMPA weekend!

@ jak... How many do you think are coming up from Akron? Once we get a sense of who's coming from all areas, I'll look to negotiate us a group hotel rate.

A couple of procedural items, as it pertains to the Epic 500 on Saturday only....

First we will be using a 3/2/1 scoring system, where the full 3 points are awarded for either a concession or the winner eliminates 300 pts or > during the match. A single point will be awarded to the vanquished should they eliminate 250 pts or >.

Second, the following additional maps will be allowed (Remote Listening Post, Commercial Spaceport, Sinkhole Landing Pad & Outlaw City). Oh and good news the FX blades arrived safe and sound and await the victor or victors...

I hope that the new set is out, at least in printable form before this tourney. It would be nice to start the tournement season off with the new set. Does anyone know the release date?

But last podcast said that they were ahead of schedule, and that they may be out before the end of Jan!

From what I understand the sets will be finished by the end of Jan, and will start to be mailed. They also said on the podcast they will try to get the cards to NY in an expedient manner so they will be available to use. In any event, just to be sure I understand this, since the release is Feb 1st, they will be legal to use no matter what? The only problem would be making the stats available for playing?

Well that is certainly promising news and regardless the ruling will be the new v-sets are valid for both events. Hedging on the prize support, as previously stated. However on that note @ DarthMalus; has Marcous ramped up production, as I'd like to secure a set of Epics?

So what is the Final Say will this be a two day event or a one day event? I heard some discussion that it might only be a one day event? Also Nader are we getting together to play this week?

This is rumor control, FrostyCon is a two (2) day event. Although there are those folks who can only make Saturday's Epic 500; we are still going to have the 200 pt Constructed on Sunday, as there are those folks who...

1. Prefer that format.
2. Can only make Sunday.
3. Those who are travelling in from out of town.

We are battling on Wed at the War Store, if you can make it we'll have four players!ThumpUp

Regarding Vset 3, like Hinkbert said, when Les and Jason were on SHNN, they said they'd try and expedite shipment on the Vsets. Additionally, Les said that the .PDF for the set is already done. Even if the cards don't make it for some reason, the .PDF will be up and be available for download.
