Hi there!

My newest sci-fi maps, intended for mystery tournaments at Gen Con and then for public release, are now in the process of gathering funding for the print run. They are designed to connect seamlessly with, and expand, one of the maps I illustrated for WotC back in the day and which many of you probably already have, and each poster will have at least one map designed to be tournament-friendly with an eye on the elusive restricted-list prize.

If the funding goal is reached, one double-sided poster gets printed. If we raise more, more pieces of this epic map get printed as well.

You can see a new starship that will be featured on the posters, and a few other hints about the contents, at the Kickstarter page: http://kck.st/MEtqAb

The timeframe for this project is extremely short, so please support it if you can, and help me get the word out as quickly as possible...

Thanks, folks!!

Chris has let me take a look at the finished copies of these maps. I'm very excited for the tournament potential on them. One, I think, will bring a unique flavor if it's on the Restricted map list, and the other has some qualities I have longed hope to bring into the restricted meta.

Thanks everyone! We're getting close to the first goal less than a day into the funding period, which is just phenomenal. I was nervous about trying to fund a project without revealing the complete maps, and am much relieved by this awesome show of support from the community.

Yeah, I'm astonished and extremely grateful. The first goal was met today; if we can keep up this level of interest, I'm confident both mystery posters will see print. (And trust me, that's a good thing. They work together in a remarkably cool way, if I do say so myself...)

That design formula tends to compel me to pledge for enough copies to put all the sides together at the same time.
Clever strategy. Wink

I might have to increase my backing pledge as to make sure I get both... BigGrin

Correction...I just increased my pledge. ThumpUp

I placed the two most directly-related maps on separate posters to mitigate that problem, but yeah...if you have two copies of each poster, all four sides will work together simultaneously.

Okay, stupid question (and I must have just mis-read) - there are two separate posers, a total of four maps, right?

blasted - now I gotta go see if I can upgrade from my one poster to two posters! That's what I get for reading the kickstarter in between meetings at work!

I just did it, it is super easy, just click manage my pledge on the page; change your pledge amount and select your new reward!

Bump. BlooMilk

Good progress is being made toward funding the 2nd poster map, with only a couple days to go.

New maps don't grow on trees, so please support the project if you can, and to the extent that you can. Smile

Thanks, guys! You know it's getting down to the wire when Kickstarter displays the time remaining in hours instead of days. :)

Anything you can do to help get the word out would be most welcome.

We're down to 11 hours now, and the goals for both posters have been surpassed. The only goal not yet met is $10K for a new set of cavern terrain cards appropriate to any genre of gaming (much like my Forsaken Lands posters). We're at $8,303 right now, so this could actually happen.

Please let your D&D playing friends know about it, too, since they now stand to get a useful product out of this as well.
