So Scum & Villainy has been out for a little while now and will soon be up on Bloomilk (I Hope). What are the big changes that will come from this set? Will there be new top tier squads for everyone to try and match? What are the combo's that has everyone excited?

Covert Ops is definitely a big change. Maybe that and the gungan shieldbearer would be pretty dangerous?

I haven't even tried some of these yet, but these are the ones I think might sneak into top level squads:
Satele Shan - slots into lots of existing Old Republic Bastila/shooter squads really well. Good movement, with Intuition and Assault, and defense with Parry, Absorb Energy, Mettle, and MotF2.
BX Commando Droid Spotter/Sniper - look like they'll be the first viable droids outside the GGDAC/Whorm Twin Bonanza.
Mandalore the Vindicated - beefy disruptive and good damage output makes him look very useful. All 4 Mandalorian pieces this set look significant - it'd be cool to see Boba Fett Mercenary Commander come back with the Protectors.
Anakin Solo, Galactic Hero - a really cool idea for a piece, works in well with Saba Sebatyne and Lowbacca (who also both look great) in this set too, as well as some older pieces like Kyp Durron.
Sith Recruit - I can see most Sith squads packing a couple of these guys - definitely a cool idea for a scrub.
I'm sure there's something in the Rebels, I don't play Rebels, and haven't really got my head around how a 200 point Rebel squad might look.
I really like the Sith Blademasters, but I don't think they're a great meta-call with Mace so popular.

The BX Sniper team just seems too immobile to me. You have to spend a round getting them into position and leave them there. I guess they will work best with a high activation droid army.
Anakin, Galactic Hero does look good. I teamed him up with the new Corran Horn, Klatooian Captain, Jag, TBSV, and Winter as the basis of a squad. Unfortunately my silly positioning meant I lost Winter without getting to use her. Lol.

The one time I tried them, I found it tricky as you have to think ahead about positioning and your opponent can outmaneuver you, but I think they have potential.

New MJS, JM is an immediate boost to the NR. Pair her with any of the Solo kids or Jedi like Corran, Jaden & Ganner.
There has been and will continue to be squawking about Zam and CovertOpsTrooper, as they will be tough to deal with given the RD/COT combo. Welcome to even more Cantina Map usage... (Uugh!)

I could see IG-88 getting some play, as well as the 2 new BX droids. There's very little popular droid hate right now, heck IG-88 pretty much nerfs Mace, Atton and Kaan, so it seems to me that droids are ripe to be used.
Satele Shan is an absurdly strong for her piece and she helps to make the OR more competitive.
Quiggy spirit gives the Republic another boost, cause that's what the republic needed another boost. But I shall not complain since I dig the Republic.

I think that that 15 point sniper is really good for the cost, but I don't like single-shot blaster, as said in the other topic. It would take a lot of v-sets to get the other GGs competitive.

Yeah, Greivious, DAC hasn't exactly been the driving force of to top tier Droid squads. When you are spamming 2 pt Mice, the range on Whorm is the more cost efficient option. The stat boost is nice, but 43 pts nice? When you can get a whole lot more firepower? And boosting another Greivious isn't the focus of making more Sep Droids with Twin/Single Shot Blaster. It is to get Seps off their addiction to Whorm and to a lesser extent DAC.
I need to go over my cards again, but I really think Mandos just jumped up a few spaces. Rebels will be able to make a comeback. Between the new Han and Leia, you will be seeing versions you haven't seen before. Han, Scoundrel is fine, but a Han, RH with Cunning and Opportunist +20 is even better. Add in Leia's CE to add damage, you will be having some Rebels handing out some pain. Mitigated by GOWK, of course. But that's why you bring in a VSA or Luke, HPU.

I dominated in my area with the spotter/sniper Commando droid captain and Grievous SotJ, good shield rolls and my opponents were scared to engage, they are a lot of fun and a lot of potential.

I've been seeing some Zam/Tarpals squads (often with Dr Evazan GC too) that have been good. That's surprising, since Tarpals hasn't been a strong contender for a long time.
Anyway, the real reason I'm posting in this thread is to bounce off of one of Weeks' first comments: When will the new pieces be uploaded to Bloomilk? I'd really like to get started on some squad-building fun with the V-Set 4 pieces.

The solution that they used for SWMM was to simply create a new version of each IG-88 with the [Replication] tag listed in the name. I'm no computer genius, but with something as fluid as the BM squad builder it seems like that could work; make it so that when you add IG-88A to your squad, the [Replication] pieces then become available.

It has also been said that Shinja has not had that much time to update it.

not sure about meta, but I am really looking forward to putting Anakin TCO into an Imperial Swap squad and maybe add palp on potty to give him basically unlimited LR/LD while palps is around.
Also looking forward to using THe new OBI with maybe AnStap.

Looks like IG-88A took the first opportunity to shine. It was only at 150 too. So at 200 he could become much more dangerous.
