Heres the thing, I'm sitting on alot of maps that were freelance projects and never got released. I've more or less been given permission to release them. Alot of talk about the game being dead. I have to say I kind of agree with it. No amount of management, mismanagement, neglect or hard work can stop the decline of a game thats been out of production for 3 years now. I have my own personal opinions on how the demise could've been slowed dramatically, but I tried fighting that war on several occasions and more or less fell on deaf ears. BUT THAT'S BESIDE THE POINT! BUT.... I have alot of great maps I'm sitting on. With some hard work, finesse and creativity, you might be able to get some people out of the woodwork with them. I personally would propose a release in about 3-4 months, with a series of local "release events", people like to come out to events if there is something new to try out. How about 8 new maps? maybe some "loosely organized play" but focus on fun and getting old players back into the game. If you make it FUN people will come back for another one, and maybe we can try another in 6 months. Alot of people talk about the decline of the game, and it's ineveitabiltiy. Well, call some of those old people that used to play, and see if they wanna come over and play a game. For me all it takes is a fun round of SWM to get me back into it for a while. if EVERYBODY active in this community called one former player over to their house, or to the LGS for a game, I guarantee that the population would grow again. probably just long enough to keep them interested for a bit. Anyway, I have the maps for a new event, and They're doing nothing but taking up space on my hard drive. If you want to do something with them, lets do something with them.

That sounds pretty cool. Definitely has potential for some fun events and new maps are always good for the game!

Work out the costs involved, If the map pack is around the prize of the last one, I would have one.
I do play other miniatures games mainly heroclix, but SWM is still the best one out of them and believe there is still life in the game. If there was not the players then the Vsets would not still be happening.
Maybe if you time it right, you could get map pack 5 (if you do go ahead with it) to get released at the same time as Vset 7. that way you might be able to share some of the costs or get some sort of discount on the printing side if you have them done by the same firm and at the same time. Well the worst that can happen is they say no.

JC, I'm really glad that you've had some positive experiences with the community, that made you willing to do this for all of us (assuming it works out).

I missed out on all the other map packs because I had left the game. Since returning I have tried to track down your earlier maps. If you do make these I would buy a set as well.

Maybe do a kickstarter and only produce enough maps as get pre-paid for so as to save you costs on extra maps. But I am in for a couple hundred dollars if you make them!

Map Pack 4 was amazing. If Map Pack 5 is half as good I'm there with bells on.

Are there any places to get the older map packs? I only managed to get the first one, so if I can find a place to try and pick up the others, I'll definitely do that when I get my monies.

Although at this point, I guess maybe all the ones that are sold out are hard to get. Check ebay, miniature market, and contact JediCartographer directly. If you're really desperate, I think you can get the PDFs of most of them and print it yourself, but then you're talking about like $20 per map to print, plus the cost of the PDF, whatever that would be. Again, talk to JediCartographer.

Miniature Market has some random maps, it seems, but no map packs.
All 4 of the "League Kits" or whatever they were called are there. They're the individual double-sided maps that came out after map pack 4:
Sinkhole World/Outlaw City Royal City (Theed) / Smugglers Base Listening Post / Commercial Space Port Desert Outpost (Anchorhead) / Cliffside Citadel (Both of these are on the Tatooine restricted list)
They have 1 of the 4 maps from Map Pack 2: Abandoned Casino/Ugnaught Mines Then 1 of the 4 maps from Map Pack 3 still in stock: Desert Starport C/Forest Ruins And 1 of the 4 maps from Map Pack 4: Asteroid Base / Royal Palace
