You've only got 48 hours to vote as the Championship is imminent.
Worth noting - last year Republic won LowerHuttACon and the NZ Championship (arguably the two biggest tournaments in NZ each year), and went on to win GenCon. This year Imperials won both, so my money's on Imperials.

What we've been seeing in Regionals this season: Sith tank squads have been very popular, and have done well. Mandos have been the dark horses - Mando the Vindicated/Kelborn/sometimes Fenn Shysa started winning things by the end of the season. Imperials have been dominant this year - without much strafe/gallop in the meta, and with Ysalamari/Cad Bane/Thrawn a good counter to the tank squads, they've been very strong. Republic are perenially a threat, and they were the other faction to win multiple regionals this year. I think those are the big 4, but I wouldn't discount Separatists, Old Republic, or New Republic either....

This is why I'm thinking Imperials. I'd love for Mandos or New Republic to pull it out though this year Or Super Dark Horse REBELS. They...they...oh who am I kidding, no they can't.

I voted Rebel (because no one thought they could blow up the Death Star and overthrow a galaxy-wide Empire either...)

I really want Mandos to win, but I'd put my money on Imperials, my second guess would be Sith.

I voted Republic, but I don't know anything about the competitive scene.

Call me crazy, but I think Rebels could win (not that they'd be favored, but in the running). Could win - if a great player has been playing them this whole time and has learned all the counters. With Mon Mothma, Lobot, and Versatility, they should be able to counter anything. It would just take a lot of practice to figure out the exact build/reinforcements to counter each given lineup. Even worse with like a dozen viable squad types in the meta to prepare for.

The versatility is all good, but I don't think a Rebel build with all the reinforcement options is going to have the upper end power to be able to take down any kind of rock squad. But once Luke Hero of Endor is legal, it'll be a bit more feasible. He does solve a few of their issues.

I'm not good enough to do it myself, so I can't argue for it more than to guess that it's possible. But hey - let's have some fun with the idea: http://www.bloomilk.com/Forums/default.aspx?g=posts&t=13070

I doubt anything will beat a well-run Cad/Thrawn squad. Republic can, but Imperials don't seem to have any "bad" matchups.

Imperial is no doubt strong, as many have said. However, as I've said before, a well-played Skybuck squad could make the T8 simply due to the number of Imperial squads.
I voted Mandos though. If I was there, I'd be playing Mandos, all the way. Not too many squads can handle them, if they're played right.

Who backed NR? You're the only person with multiple squads still live.

I just remembered Dan had Kyle/Jan/etc. Forgot his main guy.
