Your challenge is to make a squad that produces the greatest damage output for a given scenario. I will give details about the scenario in a day or so.

For now, choose your faction. Multiple people can choose the same faction. Everyone who is in the same faction can work together to craft the ideal squad for the given scenario.

===

SIGN UPS
Sith: CorranHornSux123
OR:
Separatists: Cassus Fett
Republic:
Imperial: Darth O
Rebel:
New Republic:
Mandalorian:
Yuuzhan Vong: SignerJ
Fringe: TheHutts

===

SCENARIO

Squad size: 200 points
Time: Your goal is to have your squad deal the maximum amount of damage to the targets in the first round of a skirmish.

Opponent location:

There are 2 enemies.
You are playing on Rancor Pen: http://www.bloomilk.com/Forums/default.aspx?g=posts&t=12880
You are starting in the right-hand starting zone.
Your two enemies are located inside the lift, in the left two squares (so the doors are shut to start).
You have to move at least 9 squares to base them, so Melee pieces would need a movement breaker.

Enemy stats:

Target
Cost: 100
HP: 5000
Def: 20
Atk: 0
Dmg: 0

Special Abilities:
Stealth

(Notice that they don't have cover if you shoot straight on, but if you are behind an ally they have Stealth and will not be able to shoot them.)

Assumptions about luck/die rolls:

You roll a 15 for initiative. Your opponent then rolls a 5 for initiative. You decide who goes first. On his turns, the enemy just spins the two Targets without doing anything else (top one first, if it matters).
Assume every attack roll hits with the lowest possible number required to hit. EXCEPTION: After an attack roll comes up as a critical hit, your next attack roll is a 1.
Assume every save is failed - both yours and the Targets' saves. Save rolls are the highest possible value that still fails.
For any other die roll (i.e. not an attack roll and not a save), the die roll is the same as whatever the previous die roll was.

===

Just choose a faction for now. You will see the scenario before you have to build a squad for it.

(If we don't get at least 4 entries, I'll go ahead and cancel this one.)

Wow - bold move. As far as I can tell, the only thing you get from Fringe is Talon's CE and Ysalimiri turning on. If you win this, I'll be very impressed!

I thought Imperials and Seps were the strongest options for this kind of thing, but I wanted to try something different. Jabba Crime Lord and Chiss Captain are good too.

Also, with 1 entry currently, I am looking good.

Looks like we might cancel this one. Evening's nearly gone and only 2 sign ups. I'll give it until tomorrow afternoon, but I expected most sign ups would occur tonight.

Nah - where's the sense of competition there? BigGrin

I wanted to stay out of it so I could comment on everyone's squads, but I'll take the 4th slot if no one else does. But if there aren't enough people invested to make the discussions worthwhile, I don't want to devote the time to thinking about it.

Last call for entrants. I'll post the scenario soon.

(Of course you can build a squad without signing up beforehand, but you won't be eligible to win the prize. But don't worry, the prize isn't that great.)

Will be interesting. Being a melee based faction, you'll need movement breakers or a lot of fringe.

Okay - that was fast. You also need to describe your approach and add up how much damage you do to the Targets. You can post it in comments here or on your squad.

Also, I forgot to give a deadline. Let's give 48 hours to discuss and improve your squads. So Thursday, 4:30pm Eastern Time.

Ok well lets see the Uggies blow open the door they are hiding behind. then Bandon Sith grips one of them for 20 damage. wyyrlok will move 6 and force lighting each guy for 20 damage bane will get adjacent and use lightsaber sweep and sith rage and will hit each one for 50 damage (if he gets a crit then bane will swing for another 50 thanks to flurry). Then Nihl will move 6 and force lighting 1 on the character that took the most damage to do 20 more damage to him.

The targets are too far away for Bane to get there. He needs to spend 2 force points to move 9 squares and attack the targets. As mentioned in the rules, all attack rolls (except an attack immediately after a crit) will hit with the minimum roll needed to hit, so none of Bane's attacks will be crits.
