I'm a guy in my mid to late thirty's. My son and I love to play SWM. I don't need a ton of personal information, but was just curious who I have been talking to. There seems to be a list of usual suspects on this website and I was wondering are you 20, 30 or 40 years old? Maybe older? Maybe younger? I assume most of us are guys, but I could be wrong. No pressure if you don't want to participate.
A poll would be cool. I see them up here often, but don't know how to create one.

I'm 34, and live in New Zealand. In the New Zealand group, most people tend to be in their thirties or are teenagers/very early twenties.

This game is perfect for me. I LOVED Gladius. This is just like it, but with the much cooler added bonus of being the Star Wars Universe. I just became aware of it recently. I was busy starting my career and starting a family to even notice when SWMs came out. I wonder how many other people our age would love this game and are simply not aware of it for similar reasons.

I'm 25, I'm a designer and playtester for the v-sets. I'm a proud member of Atlanta SWG and I've been playing SWM for about 5 years.

The only difference is that I technically started playing just before Clone Strike came out, way back in 2004. But I didn't really get into the game (or have a group to play with) until about 5 years ago also. Also a V-Set person (designer on sets 3 and 6, Vengeance and Commmand of the Galaxy respectively), and from Atlanta. Weeks and I actually met via playing minis, and now he's my best man for my wedding in February, and another guy I met playing minis is another of my groomsmen. I've met a lot of close friends through this game.

34. Probably the most visible female in the game right now. Married to urbanjedi for 11 years. He's been playing since Revenge of the Sith came out, me since right before Imperial Entanglements (so about 4.5 years).

I'm 21 soon to be 22. I started playing right around when Unleashed came out. Played upto Jedi Academy then drooped out do to a flooding/mold issue that destroyed my entire collection. I just started playing again this year when I found out about this awesome program called Vassel. Between that and using a Mini Manager program I got back into playing, but with everything being virtual. No pieces to lose, no collection restrictions and everything is easier to keep track of. Shortly after I got back into playing I found out about Bloomilk "Congratulations! You found it. I repeat, you found it. The best darn Star Wars Miniatures resource on the web." I read this and I haven't found anything to dispute it. I love this site and visit it pretty much every day, I really enjoy creating my own custom characters (just for fun) and commenting in the forums.

I'm 27 and work in retail middle management. I started playing back when RotS came out, but took a hiatus around the time of TFU-KOTOR.
Unfortunately, it's been ages since I've played a physical game as the playerbase in my area was pretty much disintegrated when the LGS shut down a few years ago, and the only one in my primary circle of friends who plays the game creates too much of a negative play experience to make a game worthwhile. It's even been a while since I've played a Vassal match primarily due to the fact that my free time is at odd hours or occupied with other things.

I am 26 years old and live in Minnesota. I playtest for the V-sets and have been playing the game since Champions of the Force came out. I work as a design drafter in a corporation and I have loved anything Star Wars of Star Trek related every since I was very young. This is a great game and I've met a lot of great people since I started playing star wars mini's. Its good to see that new people are getting into this game since the WotC dropped it, and this bodes well for the future of this game we all love.

38, Scientist.
Been playing since 1st release date. Saw the game rise, met a hell of a lot of good people through minis, still contribute via the vsets but family life is chipping away my gaming time. But I hang on like a captain within his ship.

20, college student, started playing this game in late 2005. Have a 99% complete collection but never had a serious gaming group around me. Occasionally I'll get to play with my brother and/or go to regionals.

36 (going on 12 were Star Wars is concerned) been playing since Champions came out. I am the last bastion, that I know of, where I live. I can convince my GF to play every now and then, but she says the games take too long, lol. She prefers RPGS I enjoy customizing and scratch building minis, life has chipped away at my time for it though. This site gives me my minis fix, would prefer it if it had a basic card print function on the custom character page , but I can live in hope.
