I had alot of people ask for extra 150 events this month. Which is quite reasonable considering most players who make 2-4 events per month, probably only get in a single 150 tourney per month. Not really all that much practice. Alot of extra prizes at regionals that people would like to win : )

And honestly...all I actually did was make 2 of our normally casual wednesdays into 150 events and skipped one saturday 200 pt event.

I think of the players who show up in Bellevue and there are atleast 15 people who could get into the top 5 at regionals and it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. Thats not even factoring in any people who come from Vancouver or Spokane. Why not get some extra practice in : ) ?

Regionals is going to be a fun event to judge. I could see so many people pulling of the top 5 for extra boosters...it will be great to see who ends up pulling it off. I expect to see alot of close games : ) Still expect everyone to be good sports about the event. If you get whiney at regionals you will probably get shit about it for months to come : ) We will just call that the "Skywalker Award" : )

Hey!

I should be able to make most of the mid/late June events because my BCC quarter ends the 16th. And I promise that I do, and always have, know that Revan is not entirely competitive, so don't expect his presence in my squads when I come for 150s. I am hoping to really show you guys how well I can actually play :)

Thanks for the early Calender Post, helps for planning around work.

I thank god JA isn't legal for the Regional....the prep time to incorporate an entirely new meta would be insanely small.

I just want someone to win it who will actually GO lol....

Do you realize that if you don't play Revan, and I don't play Vong... people will die of heart attacks and we'll win by default?

I'm looking forward to the 150 pt. Master and Apprentice format - I'll see you all there!

Haha. If only, if only. Atleast a vong 150 is more competitive than a Revan 150.

I must say I tried out my best version of the Vong twice (and by my 'best' I mean adding Dash into the mix instead of the 4th Jedi Hunter) and it failed twice.

Vong won't make a showing by many people, and even if they do fighting the Vong with the standard GOWK 150 squad(s) still is a large uphill battle for them because Rex/Dash will tear through most of the squad and all GOWK has to do is clean up if needed.

Unfortunately, it will probably be Rebel or Republic that wins...as always.Sad

Losing the VJH for dash really hurts. With no tempo control and nothing but wicket to help Dash hit, doesn't amount to much. The huge advantage with Vong is against 20 damage attackers. 3/4 attacks will be for 10 damage. That is a large part of why they have so much potential.

And keep in mind the Vong probably won't beat gowk/rex/dash more than half the time, but they do have a huge advantage against alot of the squads that can do well against gowk.
