Estimate of time for those who are not participating in the X-Wing Tournament?

Actually, that's hard to predict right now, Andy. Last year we had 26 for the X Wing tournament, and that draw faced competition from the Pa X Wing Regional held the same day out near Pittsburgh, about 5 hours away. This year there is a local tournament being held for charity and its got a lot of cool prizes and is backed by some notable NOVA players. I expect that will siphon off a good portion of my local crowd. If it does, 6ish could fall back to as early as 3ish. We'll know better the closer we get and I'll try and keep this thread updated. Don't you and TJ play X Wing?

We do not, TJ did not like X-wing the couple of times we tried it. I played a little when it came out but never kept up as I didn't find a local group.

Thank you for keeping us updated!

Why does SWM play a backseat role with X wing?
Last year at frostycon, minis followed x wing.
It started bout 8, and went to the wee wee hours.
Long after my bedtime.
Just my opinion here.
But I'd like to see the tour its on separate days.

Jak, the first year we tried the tandem tournaments we ran the minis regional first. We didn't get a big local turnout because they didn't want to wait for the minis to end. We flipped it the following year and drew 26. We don't have a minis group at the store anymore, it's just Josh and I, and my son Kris when he's around. X Wing, however, has taken off here and it is really in the best interest of the store to cater to a game that is bringing them money. Since they are always accommodating to me and my requests, I try to be sensitive to their needs.

X Wing turnout will definitely be smaller this year, so expect the minis regional to start before 6. More details as the player count gets less murky.

On another note, Lily Wan has volunteered some customs to add to the prize support pile. I don't know what or how much, but that news was freakin' awesome.

"Did not like" is too strong. It was okay, but I didn't like it enough to play X-Wing instead of SWM.

I plan 4 prizes (Top 4), possibly including customs to match preview cards (if I have enough advance knowledge of those).

Welcome back to the country! If you manage to make it up, I want you to teach me how to swear in mandarin.

Thanks for an update. Would love to know what squads. Is Jason running his Krayt/ghost thing again? Is Lily running her CDO squad again?

I'm not too sure on exacts as I didn't play either in Swiss. Lily is playing something with CDOs don't know how different it is. Didn't see Jason's squad.

J is running a Caedus squad. I don't know what Lillian is running, but I know J built Eric's squad with Lah warriors.

The only one I played in Swiss was Eric and yeah he is running Chargine Lah Warriors. Trevor is running Durge Speeder.
