...what would it be. For me, after seeing this set, I have to ask:
What's with all the repeat CE's? If you think a faction needs something that an older CE brings, why isn't there some creativity with it?
In IE: -Vader was an upgraded Gen Windu/Darth Krayt. - Thrawn was still Thrawn with an added bonus. -Emperor Palpatine was still a battery, only a better one.
JA: - Leia is an upgraded CS Yoda. - Yoda is an upgraded Thrawn/Kota. - Qui-gon's CE is nigh useless with the new Yoda and GOWK out there. Theme squads only I guess. - Sidious is a swapper. CE is carbon-copy, only interesting twist is Pawn is added.
...oh yeah, OR gets nothing again.

Id ask why they keep making reprints of bigger factions and hardly anything for lesser like sith, OR, Mando, Vong, etc,
and why they keep making rebel troopers and stormtroopers and besbin guards when they could be making so much more.

...oh yeah, OR gets nothing again. In respect to Qui-Gon, he is 31 points cheaper. So it depends on the build. Those points you save could be spent on Commander Gree for Squad Assault. I see that as worthwhile considering GOWK is but a few weeks away from being banned.

I mean he was a BIG mistake, only reason I say that is he should have costed about 20 points more.

I am simply going off the hints that have been dropped by Dean.

FYI, Rob has nothing to do with the DCI floor rules.

I don't really have a problem with the upgrades of past characters and the reprints of troopers because it keeps characters competitive and allows gives newer players a chance to collect popular pieces and trooper units. I would ask Rob why the Old Republic always gets less-than-decent representations of their characters and absolutely no synergy within the faction or good commander effects.

Folks, can we just try to stick to the original topic please, I think there are enough GOWK threads to go around Another question I'd ask is: How is the 'power level' of a piece determined? Is it from LFL? or a collaoration effort?

Id think since they did this with GOWK they did it with others, they playtested on how well GOWK stood up to Dooku of Serino(or however you spell it), and thats why he costed so low. so thats why Im guessing they did that to all pieces.

Nope, actually I mean "power level". Rob mentioned this once during a chat with regards to Jarael. She's like a "Power level" of 7 or something. Power Level and point level are two different things from what I understand.

Seriously though, the guard was most likely reprinted for the RPGers who use minis as they make excellent stand-ins for the local police force. They also make good base minis for modding.

I can see him for RPG use. That makes sense. It's just been so long since I've dabbled in the RPG.

Remember back in the day when they'd release the RPG stats along w/the previews... why'd they stop doing that?

I would ask how or why HoloSid did not get Affinity for Separatists. And why it couldn't be an errata?
(it should be noted that in the Q/A session with Rob & Sarah that Rob hinted that it was an oversight that he did not receive Affinity.)
