We seem to have lost a bunch of posts with the site's Crash/Burn from last night, but this was Lafcardio's request.
Here are the new rules. Semi Ignore #1 since Disney hosed Cannon. but the premise is the same.
1. The character must be cannon and from the chosen faction. They can have affinity, but the character must start in the chosen faction. EDIT: Since Cannon is all screwed up, just a known character is fine.
2. You may update any existing versions you already have and/or create a new one. You may update/create several versions of the character but you must ultimately select 1 you wish to run with. (this must be done by the schedule below)
3. Place a hyperlink in this forum to make it easier to find your character. You can just post the stats or image here but if changes are needed it would be easier (and save space) if you just used a Hyperlink (If you don't know how to post Hyperlinks in a forum setting please ask and we will help you. It's not hard )
... if anyone else wants to better explain the voting, feel free to add in. With Donny on vacation, should we stall or stick to the old rules
6. Too make things fair you must vote in order to win the contest. You must vote for all characters entered in the contest and you may not rate or vote for your own character.
7. The character that is rated the highest in the Bloo Milk rating system will receive a bonus of 2 points. The winner will be decided by how many points they receive (for example: so-and-so(B) received 3 individual votes and received the bonus 2 for being the highest rated character for a total of 5 points)
8. you may not change or update the entered character AFTER the deadline (from Tuesday-Thursday you may get advice and change your character accordingly) Friday at midnight [US central -600] before any votes are cast is the deadline.
The schedule will be like this: Monday the winner of last weeks CCC will announce his choice for the character (including his faction), from Tuesday till Friday characters can be created/updated but on Friday you must have picked one character to submit. Then voting will be held on Saturday, Sunday and Monday until noon [US central -600]. Monday night the winner will be announced and the next character picked.

Voting system is: Pick your top three in order and they each receive the following: 1st place -3 points 2nd place -2 points 3rd place - 1 point
That way there is no last place. Just the three best. And the most favourite gets the most points

One of the interesting problems with doing Mando's is they're basically all the same yet individualistic, which doesn't make sense until you study them. Like Jedi, they should all be roughly the same yet the gaming community tries to emphasize certain abilities to differentiate them, otherwise they'd be boring and the same.. like Clones & Stormies. So, making a Mando Bounty Hunter; essentially a bounty hunter who happens to be a Mando? Not that simple! You don't want a Fett clone, he's a non-unique and another overpowered "Fett" would need to be unique. You also don't want to clutter up the card with every typical Mando ability (Mando armor and a flight pack) yet you need to make him an individual who hunts other beings. Having said all this (and Almost being guilty of clutter after I said don't , I present my Mando BH. He's a veteran Mando BH, which is my excuse for an extra 2-3 abilities, Stealth instead of the "standard" Evade because he's trying to sneak up on his target, Loner since he doesn't share his bounty, and Snare Rifle & Rigged Detonators to make him more individualistic; capture the prey and/or make it more difficult to run or fight back. And yes, my cost calculator actually says 25-26 points ... go figure ... Hey, it's from a year or three ago and he's been hiding in the vault. Cheers Surf

Nice job Surf I really like him as is. Rigged detonators might be too strong on a non-unique but then again this is the world of overloaded flamethrowers so you are probably ok.

Here's mine: http://www.bloomilk.com/Custom/25412/mandalorian-shadowHe's a mobile commando-type. GMA + Stealth keeps him out of trouble, but he really shines in close-quarters. He can run up and hit someone for 60, then smack them back when they retaliate.

Nice one Surf! I think you picked a good time to break pattern and go for more than your usual SAs. I love how multi-dimensioned he is. Pop out and shoot, or stand still and dominate, auto-blow-up something, etc.

Here is my take on the Bounty Hunter, specifically one trying to take a target alive. http://www.bloomilk.com/Custom/25413/mandalorian-recovery-agent

Of all the pieces so far, I like this one the best; love the name and the abilities best capture the spirit of a bounty hunter as opposed to a soldier who happens to have the BH ability. Good one GG.

Here is mine. He still needs some fine tuning, this is just my initial take on him. Doesn't have the bounty hunter ability, but I figured mercenary fit the spirit if not the letter of the challenge. http://www.bloomilk.com/Custom/25416/mandalorian-mercenary

http://www.bloomilk.com/Custom/25417/mandalorian-sharpshooterI'm in! Costing is one of my weak points, so any help there would be great!

For a "weak point" you did pretty good on the costing; I would have given him a 27. Not sure about 20 Defense; no non-unique has 20 (only 7 uniques do and 4 of them are "Force using" Mando's in name only.) Only the Mando Knight has a 19 With Beskar'gam. Most Mando's are between 16-18 Defense.

Unfortunately I don't have a whole lot of time to give feedback this week, but just a few words for each: Surf Rider: Very good! I like all the abilities he has for still a fairly low price! I really like Rigged detonator! That would be fun to use! Jak: Nice! It reminds me of a toned-down/cheaper version of Jango Fett Assassin, which I like! Kamikaze13: Very cool! I am a fan of all the critical hit bonuses on him! and careful shot +6 = ...If you know what I mean. Naarkon: This is awesome! Potential 19 attack for 40 damage is AMAZING! I'm usually not a fan of Mercenary, but with "Ba'slan Shev'la" you make it work quite well! General Grievous: Tee hee this is great! I really like your take on a capture-someone-alive bounty hunter. He's nice and simple which is good. I just never seem to have good luck using abilities that have "save 11." Come to think of it, I never seem to have good luck MAKING saves of 11 either. Anyway, very nice! Caedus: Another great piece! Again, it makes me think of Jango Fett Bounty Hunter (again, not a bad thing) Flamethrower is always fun to have! I would love to play with this piece! CorellianComedian: Very good! I like the dart in with the gauntlet knife thing! And Double attack with GMA is one of the best things ever, so well done! Voting is as follows: Naarkon 1st Surf Rider 2nd Jak 3rd Good job all!

Lafcadio: Love it! At first glance I thought it was O.P. but I think it's fine now. And I Gauntlet Knife. CorellianComedian: Again, I Gauntlet Knife, and the whole sneak up and stab you in the back theme. Caedus: Nice. I like the direct damage, although I'm not quite sold on Cloaked. General Grievous: "I will take you alive" Very original, I like it. Naarkon: It's hard to make a good mercenary but with Ba'slan Shev'la I think it's a very usable piece. Good job! Jak: He can do a lot of damage for his cost but with Independent it should be fine. Surf Rider: Some nice tricks there. I really like snare rifle, and since he doesn't have Accurate Shot or twin (without CEs) I think it's fine for a Non-Unique. 1st Lafcadio 2nd Naarkon 3rd Surf Rider

Caedus's Mandalorian Commando: Really cool piece. Lots of versatility. The flavor is excellent. Costing that piece must have been a nightmare - non-Unique cloaked double Flamethrower is super nasty. It seems overpowered, but they have to keep close to Shae - who relies on being mobile - and for the cost, they're not any worse than Clone Flamethrowers with Tarpals or Vong Blast Bugs. General_Grievous's Mandalorian Recovery Agent: Another awesome piece. Again, very flavorful. Not only that, you pulled off quite a bit that's hard to do well. Whenever I work with Stable Platform, I end up with a miniature Iron Man that would be very bad for the game. But using it for Stun Gas is brilliant. Not only that, it allows him to keep up with melee pieces at close range. I like 70 HP as well; that would normally be crazily overpowerd for a 16 point piece, but with 16 Defense as the only thing keeping him alive it balances nicely. Lafcadio's Mandalorian Independent Commando: Great piece. Amazing interference piece. He's not a huge threat, so you're tempted to ignore him, but he can really mess around with your strategy, and could be a massive pain to take down. I love the close-quarters aspect of him, Parry especially is a nice call. Grab the right CE, and he's an epic distraction. Naarkon's Mandalorian Mercenary: Very interesting piece! I normally hate Mercenary, but your custom Ba'slan Shev'la helps him out nicely. Getting up to +19 for 40 is really nice, especially since using Careful Shot isn't that big of a deal for a Merc . Comparing him to the Scout, I think he could probably be a little cheaper or lose Single-Shot Blaster - the Scouts get up to 80 damage, can do it on the move, and have Cloaked. Losing SSB, your Merc would be up to the same amount of damage, but trades a lot of mobility and ranged defense for a super-high attack. But very nice design - way to make a useful Mercenary. Kamikaze13's Mandalorian Sharpshooter: Although I'm terrible at using them, I love snipers in SWM, and this one is just begging to be played. Steady Aim is amazing. His abilities all work well together, and Cover Screen is one of my all-time favorite abilities. With Twin from a Captain, he could really do some damage - almost bordering on broken, I would think, but he can only wreck one unit at a time, he's vulnerable himself to Accurate Shot, and you can avoid his big standing-still shots with some good positioning. Critical Wound is pretty potent with a 25% chance of a crit, but I think it all balances out. Not to mention he's expensive enough that you can't just spam them and win. Good piece! jak's Mando Bounty Hunter: I really like how he turned out! (I didn't mean to rake you across the coals with my comment ). I like the 90 HP/Beskar'gam/Stealth/Flight - it's all really powerful for a non-Unique, but it really gives him the feel of a seasoned bounty hunter instead of just another mid-range Mando scrub. Putting 80 on someone is really nice, and Independent is a great call - a simple way to prevent abuse, and really adds to the flavor. surf_rider56's Veteran Mandalorian Bounty Hunter: Whew... that's a mouthful . As I said in my earlier comment, I love his versatility - he can stand still for some great sniping, run around downing swarms, or tie a big piece down for your other ranged pieces. Flavor text is nice, too. Like Grievous's piece, you use some really powerful SA's (Snare Rifle and Rigged Detonators) without them overwhelming the piece. That picture is great as well, very much a confidant Mandalorian hunter. 3rd place ( 1 point) goes to surf_rider56 2nd place ( 2 points) goes to Lafcadio 1st place ( 3 points) goes to General_Grievous Great job guys! All well done, and great ideas! Great to see such a wide variety of hunters.
