Sorry - there are only 9 spaces, so if you want to vote Mandos, please make a write in vote.

I'm calling Republic because it has the most variety and surely one of them will win. Yobuck, Republic Commandos, Mace, Cin Drallig, etc.

I voted Republic, but I like Imperial too. Daala and Thrawn are both good.

long odds on vong, though I reckon they're primed. a vong-fringe squad for the win. with the seps a close second. locals are guessing we might see some multi-faction squads poll highly. sith-fringe-empire or some mando-separatist squads. on a tangent, will we be getting to see the livestream or simulcast? if so, where's the sneaky link going to be - maybe at vimeo or youtube? many bothans who weren't able to physically attend can virtually hehehe

So they can get evade and the +4 attack. Seps might be a good option. With less Lobot around because of Marn, things like Buzz Droids are less of a problem.

My vote goes with Jason and his Imperial Ewok squad. I don't think he'll play Republic, because he just played and won with it at the last regional. Don't peops usually compete with squads at Regionals, that they don't use at GenCon?????????? Although he won with it at the Chicago Regional, it's not as fresh on peops minds as the Republic squad he just played

I'm voting Vong, because I think the work around to Marn wrecking them is to add the Quednak as reinforcements so marn can't steal them.
But I have a feeling YoBuck or a fine tuned Ewok squad wins.
Good luck to all!! [especially Vong players with Marn workarounds =) ]

Let's just say I have a feeling that there will be at least one auto loss to that there.

I was thinking more that Vong can be very versatile to where bugs can be an option with reinforcements. No Marn = bring in bugs. Marn = Bring in Quednak.
In tourneys, are Vong only effective with bugs? Heavy DLW should still be pretty tough to fight.

I find that bringing in the sub commander through reinforcements isn't as good because a huge benefit of Quorreal is the Aggressive Negotiations. The real kicker with Vong is an undercosted, speedy, hard-to-kill-anyway piece with Aggressive Negotiations, that doesn't lose AG while blast bugging all day.

I'm kinda curious which faction has the most GenCon victories since 2004. Just guessing, at the top of my head, I would put this as the list;
1. Imperial
2. Rebel
3. Republic
4. Separatist
5. Old Republic
6. New Republic
7. Mandos
What do you guys think?
