Rogue 1
Anybody else (except me?) having seen the film?! Much better than than the previous and a proof that they can still make good films.

Oh, I see now, it will be released in the United States on December 16, 2016. Europe is way ahead.

Agreed it was incredible! Very Viking saga though in its execution haha. Also who else was already building the SWM pieces for each of the new characters?

Rogue1 was alright, the 3D for some old favorite characters was not as well done as the 3D in FFVII:AC or Avatar, though it was still fun.
I will never understand the U-Wing, and it's scale bugs me... though that aside, the rest was fairly awesome. Baast Castle on VJun was AWESOME! the battle camera for space was very cool.
this movie didn't disappoint, there were aliens, and droids, and all the squadron leaders green screened into this film. K2S0 (tudyk) was pretty awesome.
Kyle Katarn and Jan Ors variant can also be cannon with this given the ending, so it all works out.
--- lists
2 Tartakovsky clonewars movie 3 5 r1 4 6 1
*The Xmas Special, Ewok movie, '3d cartoon series movie' and VII are not canon.

There is certainly a case to be made for Jyn having some level of force connection greater than the average life form. Ironic since the film was billed as the first SW film to be devoid of Jedi.

I loved it. It was so good, Tarkin and Leia looked just like Carrie Fisher and Peter Cushing. The action and emotional scenes were great, original character ideas, references to original movies, prequels, Clone Wars and Rebels, EVERYTHING!

To me, only 2 pieces seem original enough for new minis. Chirrut Imwe (the blind guy) and Baze Malbus (super gun guy). Maybe K2SO but it was more comic relief. I thought the movie was great. It had a much better flow to it than past movies where you waste screen time with dialog spoon feeding the viewers the plot. This movie was great because it was made in a way where they assume the viewer knows everything from before and after this movie's plot on the SW timeline so it moved from character building to action very quickly.

Anyone else think Vader looked a little off? I mean, Tarkin and Leia weren't perfect but looked surprisingly good. Given the difficulty replicating the human face and expressions, I can overlook minor deviations, but Vader is a flipping costume. The body type, mannerisms & gait just seemed a bit off as did portions of his mask/helmet. Are those that difficult to replicate? Don't get me wrong, though, his fight scene in the Rebel flagship corridor was amazing!

Yes, I agree with you Saber1, something different is with Vader. I noticed too. Either armor or helmet (or both?) are just a little different than Vader we know. Just preparing to go to the cinema again. Will try to observe more careful Vader in close. Among other good things is that there are real, original Stormtroopers; not some unnecessary fancy looking new helmets. SW film may be extraordinary good even without lightsaber duels.

I think the issue is they tried too hard to replicate the original Vader costume but it doesn't work because this isn't 1977

Just watched it again! I like it even more now. Everything is so great. There's Chopper in the rebel base on Yavin!!! Connection with the Rebellion series! Dart Vader is terrific! Now I think that everything is OK about his appearance - maybe just from 3D he looked a little different at first. We have never watched Vader 3D before.

Agreed on the voice as well. It sounded like Vader with a cold or on the phone or something.
