While pondering what format to run for next weekend, I figured - Why not? Let's just do it.
The 2020 "December Regional" (on Vassal)
"I will MAKE it legal" (to be read in the voice of Emperor Palpatine)

Please let me know in this thread if you plan on playing. I'll have a running list
Standard 200pt squads.
Squads can be PMed to TimmerB123 anytime after December 16th (I will PM a neutral party my squad before then)
*Registration ENDS Dec 19th at NOON central time (please save your squad on vassal beforehand for efficiency)
*Rounds begin promptly at 1:00pm central time
Gameplay in each round will last exactly 75 minutes. 10 minutes of set-up time will be given before the game clock begins each round (we will start the game clock when everyone is set and ready if it is before 10 minute set-up time is done).
Number of Swiss (initial) rounds depend on number of participants.
<8 = (something modified that gets us 4 rounds of play. Round Robin, random draw, short Swiss, etc)
9-16 = 4 rounds
17-32 = 5 rounds (very optimistic here)
For any number of participants above 8, cut to the top 4 and play 2 rounds of single elimination finals.
Short 30 minute food break between rounds 3 and 4.

Outlaw City
Rhen Var Citadel
Starport District
Starport Terminal
Throne Room
(The restricted list maps, all available on Vassal)
This will be an official Star Wars™ Miniatures SWMGPA (Star Wars Miniatures Gamers Players Association) sacnctioned event. The SWM GPA Floor Rules will be in effect.

It's probably understood, since it's a Regional, but this is a standard 200-pt format, correct?
