I love playing swarms. Today, for the third vassal game in a row, I have seen someone run Anistap, Yobuck, Panaka, and R2 Astro. All 4.
There are 27 bloomilk squads with ALL FOUR of those pieces in them.
Grievous DAC + Lancers is the same for me. No fun to play against.
What are some squads you are sick of seeing?

I don't play enough to answer this question (I also just don't play enough in general...sigh), but i bet a swarm squad of ugnaughts with the ug boss or good republic non-uniques with Mon Mothma will mess with the streakers (my oh-so-funny term for strafers and gallopers).

What are some squads you are sick of seeing? Wow, that is some serious swarm hate. Almost makes me thinks it isn't a coincidence either. I'd be tempted to run a swarm squad focused around Parry and/or Deflect characters if that keeps up :P. EmperorDragon has a good point about Mon Mothma and Kel Dors. Anistap or Yoda won't last either against that. For me, I hate facing a cheesy Cloaked Mando squad. Most of those people think their Scouts are invincible.

Hm, I wonder if people know when they play me that I will run a swarm. I guess I should mix it up more too.

Hate for Cheesy cloaked/stealthed Mandos seconded Tirade. Aside from that it's for Thrawn (Mitt'Raw'Nuruodo) squads. Opportunist Swap is a pain to deal with.

Ya, Mando Scouts + Captain + Boba, MC is really annoying (and a newbie favorite). It also seems to commonly give the one playing the squad a sense of arrogance.

That could be as there are people who always try to gather intel and play counter squads. Back when my gaming group was active, we had one player who, during squad building, wandered around and socialized, and coincidentally almost always had a counter for his opponent ("Oh, you're playing clones? Lucky me that I had decided to use Palpatine, Sith Lord!"). My solution for that was that I made a dummy squad and left it out in the open where others could see. The player saw that and built up a counter, but when the match was ready to begin, I whipped out my real squad, which was a counter to the counter. The look on his face was priceless.

I'd have paid to see that. Well done! I'm going to have to second the mention of Mando shooter squads. A more-or-less natural extension of my dislike of Double/Twin/GMA, I guess.

At my Lgs people go into the store planing on playing one squad then, 10 minutes before, start scrambling to make another squad. Cause they find out some one is playing strafe or someone is playing super stealth and they dont have force sence.

Lukes Snow Speed, Donnnona, Reekin, Solo = World of pain. Don't even need to look at everything else in there. Just the speed is unreal on a battle field, with damage reduction and Evade, almost indistructable. It's pure air squad (Local superiourity squad) in it's finest and in 200 squads, thats only 95 points worth of it. Only limitation is it can't get into small corridors, but theres more then enough points to get some boys in there to flush them out.
As for Yobuck, just unreal amount of life. It should only have 80 hp/90 hp and I think most Yodas should be around that mark to signify his frail nature, and that abilitys like Lightsaber Defence with mastery of the force should give him duriabilty. Such huge HP should be reserved to Jugganorts, not supercharged midget on a lizard. If he was like that, he would be more risky to run. Also, to be in the same squad as swap is silly. Basically making it impossible to kill him on the first run without very persfic counters.

i think yobuck should of been a larger base, cures the swap. makes the piece more like what it is a Deep strike ONE TURN piece. but now its a deep strike SWAP HEAL deep strike peace

Honestly for me, I hate the swarm squads. They are the ones that make me have less fun. It's like I almost have to run Yobuck on vassal just to avoid getting the crap kicked out of me. Thankfully, people haven't run much swarm on vassal lately, and I have been able to get adequate play testing on my other squads. But yeah, for me the swarms actually kill my joy for the game, or at least the Ithorian Commander ones. Note: This is not any kind of attack against Motti either, just my opinion lol.

Yeah, I haven't run the ithorian in a while, usually I used him jsut for Jarael, which giving just her +4 att and +10 is worth the Ithorian's cost IMO. Here are a couple of the "swarm" squads I play, they aren't like uggo or tusken armies, but they all have a decent amount of activations and a good number of similar characters. Probably my best squad: http://www.bloomilk.com/squads/View.aspx?ID=53129This one can be fun: http://www.bloomilk.com/squads/View.aspx?ID=62325One of my favorites: http://www.bloomilk.com/squads/View.aspx?ID=53125

Smuggler Cannon at 150-200. Its all over gencon so everybody plays it on vassal really annoying. Omst of all id say in DD i always have to play Durge/Dooku. I say always cause its been 8 games now on vassal ive played DD every one against that pair that is frustrating.

I mostly get annoyed by just how Rebels have the best CEs for ridiculously cheap and aren't ranged. But otherwise I think most all of the factions have obnoxious but viable squads with enough counters to most things that keeps a decent balance.
