I'd say Republic, but only because it has so many great options. NR, Seps, Rebels, Imperials, Mandos and Republic all have great builds.

The key to NR is disruptive from either Han, GH, KKJBM or Talon Karrde (or a combination). Mara & Shado are great beats with good survivability. Gen. Antillies makes everything better, and Jaina lets you bring in Han, ST or Han, RH for even mroe fun. NR can be difficult to play because the squads tend to be light on activations, though Dodanna can help there. They also don't have a ton of options.

Sep strengths are pretty obvious. DAC works great with IG-86s, Lancers, T1s, and Heavy Super battle droids. The Geno overseer + DAC can make any base 30 damage droid something to be feared. San Hill lets even low activation squads keep tempo with their opponents. Even Sep non-droid San Squads with big beats like Dooku, LOtDS and Maul, CotF can be competitiive.

The Rebels are shooty. *Really* shooty. Han, Scoundrel and Luke, SS are some of the best and both have great synergy with Princess Leia. Cheap disruptive also helps them out a lot. Rebels can be tough to play because their CEs are generally limited to 6, and they don't have the most resilient characters.

Imps have some great tactical options, though currently nothing seems as tough as Thrawn Superstealth. High activation Opportunist squads with Ozzel, Piett and Evo troopers can also be tough. Imp's weakness is a lack of Disruptive and Override/Door Gimmick.

Mandos are another faction who's strengths are pretty obvious. Many of their non-uniques are fearsome. Scouts +Captain is deadly, though Supercommandos, Quartermasters and Gunslingers are all great as well. I find Boba to be their best commander, the other 2 are simply too expensive in a faction with such pricey non-uniques.

Republic has just got it all. Swap, R2: AD, satchel charge, JWMs, tons of great CEs and access to Booming Voice. Yobuck swap, Super Stealth and GOWK melee are all good builds, plus many others. The Republic's greatest weakness is Disruptive, both that they don't have it and that it ruins all those great CEs.

A good way to start building squads is to find a piece and take a look at it's Synergy providers/receiver's list and find other good pieces. Then look at that piece and see what pieces it has synergy with, then check those pieces, etc. until you've got a full squad.

Also, read the "That's Game" article on this very site.

Dude you spelled "which" wrong... You need a lot more help than "which squad is best".

The best faction is the one you enjoy playing the most, you will find your favorite pieces and build around them. The trick is to have fun and not worry about winning. Raitalin hit the analysis bang on. As for your question Republic is currently the most lopsided in it's CE's and versatility, but that does not mean that it matches your play style.

I didn't vote in the poll to try and honour your request but when you ask for advice remember some of the more experienced people don't necessarily post at all on these forums.

I don't think any squad is better than any other, it depends on the players becuase you can put a new player with a GG DAC squad against a 4 year player with OR and I think the OR team would still win.
But I voted for the faction I use most:
Republic.

I like the New republic because it is a Swiss army knife with having a solid offense and a great defense and you are able to fill in Tempo control door control and disruptive to hurt whoever you are playing against. Granted there are not as many options as the Republic but it is a well balanced Faction.

Maybe throw it in the squad building discussion because it doesn't really apply to help with the bloo milk site?

It needs to be in general section, since this section is for new player help.

I may not be advanced but I will say this, most factions have different abilities, and will grant different effects, but do NOT use old republic, they stink a lot.ThumbsUp

I voted for New Republic on here, just because i know you can make a solid NR team with specific pieces. But personally i would say go Rebel, its a sick team, with good things to use.

The OR isn't a challenge, it's an excercise in futility.
