http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dci/doccenter/homeKey things: Map update (Taris, Freight Station, Christophis (Damaged), and Muunilist Commerce Plaza are now legal for all levels, along with Coruscant being added to 200). Also, whoever goes first in a round only activates one figure.

**Per NickName (Wizo Official Net Rep): "Grand Moff Tarkin (and by extension Ki-Adi-Mundi) can affect the 1 activation phase that starts the round." **
My thoughts: #1: yes. love the new maps. weird that the undamaged Christophsis isn't legal.
#2: Mara is still sick.

Well, there definately is debate about that map. I would say the consensus is that since the bottom third of the left side has no cover and is wide open that makes it a competetive disadvantage( same reasoning as to why Mustafar is banned). I would say it is more of a compromise than anything because there are plenty of people that think the "broken" version, though has much more cover and better starting areas, is too unbalanced and can be argued is not much better than Mustafar either.

In addition to the post above, the reason why Dodonna & Veed do not work is because their CEs state that you can choose to activate only 1 per phase. Which means that you can activate the normal amount or 1. Normally (or before the new DCI rule) that would be 2 per phase. Now the first phase of any round will be a choice of 1 or 1. Hard decision I know.
As for San and Ozzel, well they were always limiting to one so no one should have trouble understanding how it doesn't affect them.

FREAKIN' DCI JERKS! TELLING US HOW TO RUN OUR GAMES! No wonder I don't use DCI.
However, I'll take note of this, just cause I sometimes have to play DCI tourneys.

You're right about that. It could be worse... but not much.

Moose, I suspect you don't know who is writing the DCI rule updates. Here's a hint, its the players in consultation with Rob :)

My teacher has a broken map. It labels no rough terrain or low objects. Basically, it provides no cover whatsoever!

He works really well in the new enviorment with the first round initive activation. He ignores that with his CE, so you can activate up to 3 cats. not a bad thing if you ask me.
