I see the massive amounts of people on Bloomilk and cant help but wonder why more of you dont play on Vassal. It gets to me when I get on Vassal at 8pm and no one is on. It is such a great why to play SWM. It is very simple to set up and download. PLEASE-- more of you great players out there, get on Vassal, and lets do battle.

Yobuckkiller I've seen you online before. Some of us are in different countries, which makes time difference a problem. But other than that, I am in agreement. Vassal makes this game international.

One of these days I'll learn the ropes and join in. I have it set up. It's tough for me to find a sufficiently uninteruptable block of time to get on and play.

I didn't know you could play tiles on Vassal, guess I need to get with the times.

That much more killing power and nowhere to run.

While this thread is still active, does VASSAL teach you how to play Tile wars? It sounds fun and I want to learn.

No it does not, but you can play tile wars on there. All tiles and figures are available to use.
It's really easy...200 points on the tile. Ready, set, fight! That's really all there is to it, now the build is a lil different from traditional squads, but still fun and they are short games.
I am going to start a tile wars booster league after Labor Day. There will be a new topic to sign up as it gets closer.

defender390 wrote:Is vassal competitive or casual? It can be either, just ask your opponent before you play whether they want ti play with casual, fun squad or if they want to play competitively. If you're asking about the skill of the players, that's also varied. You will see some of the most competitive people on vassal as well as the least competitive. Usually if you just ask your opponent about their play style and the types of squads they want to play you can find someone who shares the same play styleas you. I enjoy Vassal and get on when I can, it's just that I don't get the chance to a lot. I rarely have the 1.5+ hour to play. Tile wars is a good idea though, I had forgotten you could do that on vassal.

I love Vassal and have played on it every week at least once a week for the last 2 years. Some people complain about the dice but , that doesn't bother me.
It really is a great way to play. I'm usually on there Wednesday nights. Some Monday nights also when I'm not playin with the Band.
Vassal Is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would be on Vassal more, but my free time is primarily geared towards the Sisyphean task of reducing my video game "to-do" pile (The bugger's currently at 75 games and growing).

Yeah I'd love too, but I don't speak computer nerd, so when people say download this and that and somehow it all works out...I don't get it. If someone can provide a LINK with good instructions for those of us who only use the computer for email, word processing, and squad building, that'd be great!

I've had the program and the SWM add on on my HD for about three weeks now and still haven't figured out how to play. I'd love to if someone wants to take the time to teach a noob how to play with Vassel (I'm very experienced at SWM, so no "training" there, just on the Vassel program)
