Hey all, this is my first custom set and im really excited about putting it together! As you can see im a huge fan of the Darth Bane trilogy and seem to favor the sith more Tongue. Im hosting a Custom Contest and this set is enterd in it, I would love to face off with other of you custom makers as well! Most all of them are almost exclusively from the 'Darth Bane' trilogy. Orbalisk Armor: When this character would take damage from a Light Saber reduce the damage by 10. Role a die on a save of 16 this character takes no damage from a Light Saber. If this character is hit by any ability that contains the key word 'Lightning' it deals double damage. Save 11 when hit by a 'Lightning' ability this characters defense goes down by 3.
Orbalisk poison: This character takes 10 damage each time it activates and looses 1 force point. If this character does not have any remaining force points it takes 10 damage Save;11

the darth zannah craver for power is way undercosted for wat she can do, for her cost i would give her double twin and lose whirlwind attack thats just to much power for a 64 point character

But I cant see it working with the current game mechanics. Here is an easier to use version.

nerfherderpictures- I went ahead and changed it. I think you may be right, tripple and twin is a bit over board. As much as I hate to admit it (Tongue) she isint close to some of the best light saber duelists.

CerousMutor- Not sure if you have read the books but thats what I was basing him off of. Because he has the orbalisk armor which is light saber reflective he is just a (literal) beast. He uses pure aggressive attacks and concentrates none on the defense. The essence transfer is him going in to another body, not stealing that body's life force. But i will alter the power to make it more simple if I can. He is my favorite character lol so even trying to be bias is hard.

Got, read and devoured.
He only has the Armour in the second book, he only found out how to Transfer his Essence in the third.
Zannahs sublte workings as well as his costly deafet at the end of the second book brought him to the realization that the Orbalisk Armour hindered his in growth in to a true Sith Lord.
I thik you might have missed what I was trying to do.
Your version, though closer to the book (and to the ending I believeTongue) would not fit on to a minis card. Its a strength of will feat, his essence battling for dominance in a new host body
On a success that mini is now defeated, remove Darth Bane from play, the target enemy joins your squad for the remainder of the skirmish and and gains 'Darth Bane'.
Reads great, sounds great. Now make it fit into no more than 4 to 5 lines of text.

eg

Thats possibly a closer version to yours, but even that is still wordy. And again I'm trying to stick to currents game mechanics.


So you have to 'susspend' your disbelief and avoid confussion. The Enemy mini piece now changes side and is concidered Darth bane, but not Darth Bane embodyment of power?? The easiest way to make that work current game mechs, although it is not faithful to the book, is a version similare to the one I put there, unless you want to have 2 cards for Darth Bane.
Again not knocking what your doing, its great! Even more since we are on the same page as to how the book ended. I want him to make a new one all about...ahem..'Darth Zannah'

CerousMutor- I totally understand what you mean. I did go ahead and change it to what you suggested (cookie for helping!). I was basically trying to make him the force wrecking ball he was in the books. As for another book with zannah -cough- I would prefer to see Darth Bane just do some force explosion inside of her and come out perfectly fine!LOL Like some type of 'Alien' movie type thing! I do like the character of zannah but I can see how you [yet to be completely determined] kill Darth Bane! As for mini wise I may need your help once more...I was contemplating the idea of giving qoridos thought bomb...! HAH that should be interesting if I dare try the impossible! I appreciate your help with my favorite Darthy, mebby take a gander at some of me other goodies!

Yeah I know, I dont have Kis'am in this set and kaan would be the only other one. The only Thessaly way I can think of doing it is giving each character a force 'rating' in this set. Like bane has 8 kaan has 6 the apprentice has 2, and there not force points. But once you get enough to get like 40 form all characters they all go boom along with every other force user on the map. Lol I know crazy. More crazy now that I actually wrote it down and am reading it!

Here was my take on it

if you want a more ritualistic feel to it give Kaan steal force without FR - so he has to use the force from others to build up the energy for a thought bomb.


Kaan actually used the ability so I think he's the only one that should actually have it personally

Lord Ball- Ok cool. I was thinking along the same lines of having just like a disintegration of 18x18 or something. I just dont know if its thinkable. Btw impressive custom!

Nice job, although your characters don't seem very playable. So, if you appreciate criticism:
- Huntress is too weak for her cost
- Hoth is just too strong, he should have less abilities and much lower cost
- Valley of the Dark Lords Spirits should be incorporeal; instead of fighting they should function as support e.g. like Obi-Wan Kenobi, Force Spirit
- Darth Zannah, Sith Witch has too much force powers (they would never fit into the standard card)
- Bane's Essence Transfer is too complicated. Use standard Transfer Essence instead.
- Orbalisk/Pelko Swarms - I just can't imagine them as separate minis. Drop this idea.
- Doan Miners ability seems weird; I don't think you would be able to remove cover from printed board, and even if you find a solution, there would be a healthy debate about what would "a hazardous or hindering terrain" be
Other characters seem fine in my opinion.

tadeoosh001-I very much appreciate the critisim. I allready alterd them alot and think some of them are okay the way they are. I also changed hoth quite a bit.
