OK all
As you may well know the Vset threads have been removed as requested.
However the same thread is on both SWGamers and at WOTC. so hope you see you all there.
Dread

EDIT, about the post below asking what happened. I would just like to say i do not know anything myself and have not asked because i do not wish to get involved.

However as 3 of my threads went down i just wanted everyone who did post in those threads to know that SWGamers and WOTC still have the threads up, and if members wanted to still talk about the topics in question they can.

Thanks

Being a fan of the game, the community, the vset, the guys who are making it possible, and this site... can some one be kind enough to be blunt? What exactly just happened? I hate when people sum up a fairly major incident in a very general expression.

Bluntly...

DarthJak made a point about BlooMilk being ad free in the dollar a month club.

dnemiller is the owner of swmgamers.com. He and others interpreted that as a jab at swmgamers.com. (dnemiller and DarthJak had a history before that, but I know nothing about it.)

DarthJak deleted several of those posts without warning or explanation.

Complaints about the deletions were similarly deleted. The threads with the complaints had baiting/attacks in both directions.

shinja, the owner of the site, does not read the forums but spoke to DarthJak and sided with him regarding the deletions. But he said any future deletions would have explanations given.

For dnemiller, this was the "last straw" so to speak. He asked the vsets to be removed from BlooMilk. Again, there's a history there but I don't know the details. The vsets are being designed by a committee of 3 (engineer, Boris, and fingersandteeth). dnemiller put the committee together and is in charge of it in some way, although he's not on the committee itself.

(I'm just an observer - I wasn't part of either side of the arguments.)

Well, everything doesn't revolve around DarthJak. What happened yesterday with him was just the final catalyst. A lot of posters were fed up with posts getting deleted and started asking questions, but those posts got out of hand and instead of being closed (like they should have been) they were outright deleted. None of the posters were notified of their post being deleted (I had 4 posts deleted with no warning or explanation). Dean has had problems with BlooMilk before and how people treated him and how events were modded (or not modded) here, so he finally had had enough and decided he didn't want to give any previews or anything to BlooMilk. He will still share previews with chats and The Holocron, just nothing with BlooMilk. I personally hope things can be reconciled, I think all that is going on right now is sort of unfair to the community as a whole.

Yeah, just reporting what I observed the past couple days. I'm sure there's a lot of history that I don't know about.

I read those posts the other day... and assumed they were sarcasm.

A blasted shame.

I don't care about personal beefs, jabs at certain people, or past problems people have had with others.

I have had some issues with certain high-ranking members of the SWM community in the past, but when it really comes down to it, none of it matters because it's just a game. A game that I have poured a lot of money into and enjoyed playing, but I have never spoken about personal feelings for others in a public forum, nor will I ever.

The V-sets are a labor of love that some have taken on to try to keep this game going and I have faith that they are putting as much care into the minis they are creating as the team that worked for WOTC did. I am excited to see what the V-sets bring to the game and I am sad that this site has hit a speed bump that may not allow it to share information.

If we are all expected to buy into the "community" we need to be able to share information. SWM game players have been creating custom miniatures since the game was released, and as long as no money is ever made from the transmission of information that is LFL property, then no law is ever violated. In short, I think it is wrong to punish those of use who chose one forum over another. (I have NEVER been able to log into Gamers using my profile, so I cannot see the information contained on that site).

I really don't know where I am going with this, other than if we are all expected to be a part of this game in the future, then any "officially, unofficial" products that are produced should not be claimed by one "side" of the community.

In short, "why can't we all just get along"?

I don't have time for any more drama from this community and I am so tired of people acting like children and thinking they are more important than they are. This is not pointed at any one individual as many of us including myself at different times have acted way immature. I just can't take this anymore, I come to these boards for a release from an over the top Doctorate program, a new baby, and a recent lose of employment. All I find here time after time is drama, drama, drama and more stress. You would think we were a bunch of girls. THIS IS A FREAKING GAME!!! something that is suppose to be fun!! This community is not fun!!! It hasn't been since the whole Gowk debacle, it has been bitch , nag, bitch ever sense. The game has been great to me every since the begining and for that I am thankful! Anyway, I am through, the game from Wizards is dead and over and now it has died for me as well, I bid thee all farewell! I wish you all many happy returns, and best wishes on the V-sets and the continued development of the competitive game. It will be what you all make it!! I know I am not alone here and know personally 2 other people who have stopped coming around this community on all three boards because of the drama and down right lack of respect we have for each other. Hopefully you can pull yourselves together before this game collapses in all your faces. Lastly I am sorry for any and all parts of drama I have added to the community, either here, or the Wotc website. So long!! If you want a fun game, were people even from this community go and treat each other with respect, head on over to Forumini and learn the game WAS, it is a blast!! There are 4 or 5 people that post here, Wotc, and SWG that are involved over there.

So I can't get any previews because some people had an argument? That's a bother :(
Would it be possible to BM me the previews instead? I can't tune in to the SHNN for some reason, so that won't work either. And I don't have a WotC account, and I can't find the thread on Gamers.

Hi
For any spoilers on SWGamers you have to have an account. all spoilers are in a forum called "Upcoming Set Spoilers and news" but you can only view this if you have an account and are logged in.

Post above is a direct link to said forum, but as i said you will need an account but it's free to join and get one.

have fun.

I agree with most of this. I just don't understand why some people are so sensitive. I applaud those at Gamers for their work. The vast majority of us are not critical of those designing the V sets. Why does it have to be an us against them mentality. I am a regular listener on Sith Holonet news and I thoroughly enjoy the content. But there are times when I have to fastforward the poor me attitudes and everyone at Bloo milk is against me crying. Both these sites have a common goal. No need for anyone to Lord it over anyone either. Sure they have a right to make the v-sets exclusive to gamers but come on.

Because some people just want to watch the community burn.

It did not go unnoticed that you were a voice of calm as the storm began to rage. BlooMilk

Why indeed? Because people take themselves too seriously IMO.

This is like the 3rd or 4th major blowup like this that I have witnessed on Bloo. It's just sad. At this point it is no surprise to see posts such as Thodafett's above.

Started way before that. These types of things have been going on every 3-4 months on WOTC and here for years. It always seems to involve the same individuals as well.
