What do you use to put your guys in?



I have 130 or so Pieces.. What is big enough to fit them?

The link shows what I use... I have a rather large collection so I have a few of them full. The nice thing about these containers is you can sort by faction and you can pull the compartments out one by one if you're playing multiple matches with different armies. The other nice thing about this container is you can put the cards in it as well.

You'd have to find something similar at your local stores in the US but from what i've seen at the LGS this is the favourite.

Wal-Mart usually have lots of storage cases, I picked up a few soft side tackle kits on clearance a few years ago, they each have 4 or 5 plastic bins in them and they work out great :)

I have these stackable shelfs I got from Target.

Keep the minis sorted in ziploc plastic bags. Keep the bags in cardboard boxes. The great part of WotC plastic minis over other miniature games is that you can just grab all the minis, toss them into a pastic bag, and toss the bag into a box with all the rest and they're just fine.

I couldn't imagine having to lug around a painstakingly built and painted pewter Warhammer army.

Many, Many, Tackle Box cases. I have over 3,000 Minis Right now. But i dont sugest everyone doing it like i do, because i seperate them out by piece IE: clone troopers in one spot, Elite Clone Troopers in another, and so on.(I have OCD a LIttle)

This is pretty much my strategy as well. Every so often I find myself needing to add another box or two to maintain the organizational plan.

Personally I bought two triple size KR multicases with foam inserts in. Each box hold eight foam trays. Each foam tray hold 50 figures, so my collection has room to grow.

I have sorted my figures into the following:

Box 1:

5 trays for figures with points 0-10
3 trays for figures with points 10-20

Box 2:

3 trays for figures with points 20-30
2 trays for figures with points 30-50
1 tray for figures with points 50+

the spare 2 are for expansion.

I did this by using bloomilks search and estimated %s of figures.

Advantage to holding them this way?

No need to rearrange my whole collection each time I add a new clone trooper!
Want to find a particular figure? just need the point cost to narrow it down.


I also hold "all" my cards in a rolodex for business cards. I have each card type stored in a business card holder (stat side up), these are organised alphabetically. Although this sounds like hard work, it makes it very easy. If I get a new figure, I simply find its alphabetical location, put into a new holder, and slot it in the rolodex. No need for me to reorganise everything, no need to search through a bunch of cards to find the right one. As long as I know the name!

If I know what figure I want I can also find the point in the card stats, plus the holders keep them nice and safe!

To note I don't hold all my card copies in the rolodex, for those I have many of (battle droids, clones), I store them in the base of the box, and a few in the rolodex

Walmart used to carry a tacklebox that was about the same size as the Plano 3700, except these had a black bottom and an opaque folding cover. They also had a molded handle (not hinged) and they stacked really well. I sorted my minis by era or alliances. I placed my collection (sans Huges) in these boxes and transported the stack with a small luggage cart (it's about 10 cases). Of course, we tend to plan ahead on our games, so I usually grab 3-4 boxes (Rebellion Era for instance) and head out with those.
