This is pricey... and probably not worth the points, but would this work?

Place two bacta tanks adjacent to eachother. Then use a Rodian trader to give each of them heal 10. They can each then heal 20?

Yes, but the tanks cannot heal each other (due to the Machinery SA)

That is incorrect. Machinery does not affect whether a figure is living or not. The defination of a living character has not changed.

Hmmm, the Bacta Tank would make for an interesting figure review for a podcast to do.

Oh, wait. Check out Episode #24 (in the Podcast forum here) that released this past Wednesday. Cool BlooMilk

I think that it doesn't really make any sense that Machinery doesn't make the character nonliving. After all, how is a machine going to have any semblance of being alive?

BTW, adamb0nd, give them Grenades 10 as well from the Rodian for some strangely powerful bacta tanks!

on related note, would 2 adjacent bacta tanks effectively give barris offee force heal 80? (20 base, double to 40 from one tank, then double that to 80 from the last tank?)

If that is true, then would the 2 Bactas with heal 10 would then have heal 40? Love

No. Bonuses do not stack. (Except for those that do)

1. Augment Healing does not affect the character with it.
2. Augment Healing does not stack. Abilities that stack state that they do.

I made a Bacta tank team, and it works great. Use Barris Offee with heal 20, bacta makes it heal 40. Add Capt Tarpals and she can heal 40 twice. Thats how you pull off heal 80. She saved my Boba Bounty from certain death. I healed Boba 2 times that game, healing him for a total of 160 damage. Thats HOT!!!

Um not to burst your bubble, but bariss does not have Master Of the Force 2. So you wouldnt be able to do heal (40) twice, but you could still do it once.

Qui-gon Jedi Master (Force Spirit 6), can fix that.

Very True. Plus he is a fun piece to play on his own.

Im confused, if Tarpals gives followers the ability to do actions that replace attacks twice, why then can she not heal twice? Why does she need to be a master? dosent the commander effect give her that power?

Because you are still limited by being able to only spend Force Points one time per turn unless you have Master of the Force or have been the target of Force Spirit 4/6/8. Tarpals gives you the ability to ignore the "Replaces Attacks" portion of the ability, but not the normal part of only being able to spend FPs once per turn. Gotta have something else to make that leap.

Just to clarify so that others are not confused this isn't actually the case. Tarpals allows you to use any two abilities that replace attacks (doesn't have to be the same ability), instead of the normal one. Attacks are still replaced (that portion isn't actually ignored - so you CANNOT use one replace attacks ability and still make your normal attacks), it's just you get to replace them twice if you choose to do so.
