We broke even on Map Pack 4 today!!!!

Please buy one more so we can profit 7 dollars and 50 cents!

Wow, it only took 5 MONTHS!!

I'll put this in perspective. Map Pack 3 took 4 weeks to break even!

Isn't it funny that arguably our best Map Pack was the worst seller?

Map Pack 3 did have the "makes one giant map" thing going for it as well.

I definatly agree about the game getting fired didn't help. But, this last set was also one of my favs.

It's a great map set, but hard to drop the money to buy and laminate it when the game is dead and you're not sure how much longer your group is going to continue playing it.

Ah, but Halloween is right around the corner, and dead things have a tendency to rise from the grave that night.

So, grab your shotgun, board up your house, and get ready for the onslaught of undead miniatures!

I'm still planning to pick up this map pack. I just haven't had a chance yet. I'm especially liking the look of the snowy mountain fortress.

Heh, I wish. I would so very, very much have loved to see some Deathtroopers filling up a couple common slots in a future set. BigGrin

Depending on what quality of laminate you want. You can spend as low as 25 cents per square foot for a map at Mardels. Granted you get several small bubbles but it's still sealed.

Well I bought my map pack at Gencon from Matt. Dead game argument doesnt really work that well with me.

I have owned Monopoly for 40 years and still play it. i dont care if someone is producing or not.

Matt's efforts keep the game I spent tons of money on fresh and fun.

Thanks Matt for a great set of maps and hopefully others will invest on these maps based on the investment they put into their collection and not whether wotc is doing something or not.

I just got my Map Pack 4 in the mail the day before you posted this. Sorry it took so long, but I have no official job and have to pay my dad $125 a month before I can buy anything else to pay off my car. Now that I have the stuff, I just have to fork out enough to get it laminated....

Believe me, whenever you put out a new map pack, I promise I will buy it..................
eventually!

I completely understand the reluctance to purchase the new pack. Things are going into effect that will make it a liitle easier to by maps.

And I've said in the past, breaking even guarentees I will do it again!

Matt - Have you thought of using Kickstarter like Mapmaker does in order to make sure you get enough to fund the printing? It would get rid of that whole "crap I just shelled out a ton of dough and am not sure this project is going to break even" thing. I know I'd be one of the first ones in line for your new Map Pack! =)

These Maps are incredible! We just gotts keep spreading the word. I know of some people who actually just started playing, actually a growing number, partially because they saw this game at Target. Ive been letting them know about Bloomilk, Gamers, V-sets, as well as all the extra maps to be found.

Congrats Matt!! You're contributions to the game have been unmatched and have added more enjoyment for my minis group. I understand that things these past couple years has made things difficult for you and everyone who buys your maps, but I just wanted to let you know that I will always be looking forward to any project you have in the making and will support you as much as I can.

Sincerely,
Jester007

I gotta agree. Kickstarter seems like a really good way to go for stuff like this.

I would have expected someone to comment on the Colbert Bump... Oh well. I know one thing in our local group is that just 1 or 2 people actually collect the maps, it seems. I still have yet to get get Map Pack 1-3. I don't control the funds anymore.
