Thank you Dean, for allowing us to have our own Regional Tournament in Northern VA!! I'm hoping we have a great turnout. We are working hard to make this tournament memorable for everyone. We have a great store with lots of space. The Game Vault sells snacks and drinks, and usually has a good selection of Star Wars Miniatures singles if you're looking to pick up a few pieces. There are many restaurants and other places to eat nearby. Aside from the Gencon Badge and boosters, I have some other fun ideas for prize support, provided we have a large enough turnout. If there is anything that I can do to make your visit more enjoyable, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Thanks and I hope to see you all there.

I may be in attendance. Would be an excuse to go visit good ole' fredericksburg again. I do have to check dates and stuff though, so no gaurantees.

I'll make sure Ted (Eroschilles) makes it so he can snipe the Gencon badge from you guys. ;-)

If he goes, he'll be going (relatively) close by me. Since its a 3 hour drive from my house I probably would have difficulty going in my own (trying to convince parents to let me go) but if it would be possible to go with someone I know (and one of my parents have met) then it could work out.

Cool. Then we'll see you there. A bunch of us from VA are going up there again this year too.

I'm hoping anyone that has the chance to make it to this Regional can make it. I'm helping Roy put together some stuff for prize support, and I'll just say that we're gonna have more than just those Shadow Troopers and Boosters. Things are shaping up rather well and I can't wait for May to roll around!

Sincerely,
Jester007

I will also add that it's the Deluxe (Vault) Edition. The book comes inside a hard plastic case. You push a button to open it, and some lights turn on with a sound of doors opening. The book is then raised up on a spring-loaded pedestal to be romoved from within the case with ease.

If you don't know what The Jedi Path is about, you can google it and see a video of it on youtube. Trust me, this is a cool collector's item that you don't want to miss out on!

Sincerely,
Jester007

Yes, it is very nice. Check out the link below. It is the amazon.com page for the book. There is a video that shows how the vault works. The lights and sounds in the video are actually part of the vault. Whoever goes home with this will love it. I tried making a video of mine, but the amazon video is much better.

Ugh. I was planning on coming to the Regionals anyways, but now you guys are making me want to win, thus I actually have to put effort into my preparation for Regionals. Curse you! lol

As I told Justin, who is now organizing the Pa-Md regional, depending on my wife's condition, I may be able to attend. It may come down to a 'gameday decision', which ultimately is why I can't organize the Pa-Md regional or attend GenCon this year.

Thanks Jim. I hope you can make it, but if you can't, I totally understand. I and my group plan on keeping your family in our prayers. Let me know if there is anything that I can do to help.

Hey everyone! I am just curious if anyone else is certain they will make it to the VA Regionals. So far we know these people will be in attendance not including myself:

swrogue57
Demosthenes
DarthMalus
Jedicartographer

There's also at least 8-9 other people showing up in our local group that do not have bloomilk or swmgamer accounts. We are trying to get an idea of how many people are showing to arrange for prize support accordingly. We've got some really cool ideas, and want to make sure that this Regional is one to be remembered!

Sincerely,
Jester007

I probably won't know until the last minute if I'm coming because of my situation. I will try and get some of the Pa guys to commit to driving without me.

Ian,

I think Shatterpoint is Chris Stoltz. He said he will come up for the tournament.
