Who do you think are some underrated characters? I.e: characters who either do not see much play (but are still very playable) or do see some play but are never given credit for their actions? You can describe as many as you want. For me, the first two that come to mind are Juno Eclipse and Leia Organa, Senator.
Juno is an 8-pt fig who has 40 HP along with accurate shot AND disruptive (on a side note; the only bummer is that she doesnt have Pilot....and its even described in her flavor text!)
Leia is a 7-pt piece with 40 HP and is a shooting diplomat. With a FS haunting her she becomes nearly invincible.
So who do you think are underratd figures?

I think Leia Organa, Senator's biggest weakness is that Princess Leia is so strong and you can only take one of them.

I agree that Leia Organa, Senator is great - I think she'd see a lot more play if Princess Leia wasn't an even better figure. The one time I played against her, she based my main attacker, and was a pain.
There are a bunch of pretty strong New Republic characters who don't quite make the top-tier, but are still a handful. I'm thinking of pieces like Kol Skywalker, Kyle Katarn Combat Instructor, and Leia Skywalker Jedi Knight.

Queen Amidala. Horribly underrated. Makes non-unique republic pieces even cheaper, and provides them board wide mobile. She works great with tarpals and gungans, or filler clones and some good commanders. Shes also not a bad shooter, having the option of mobile or double.
A few pieces steal the spot light from her. I would guess rex (who gives clones GMA) and since its a republic squad, most people use Mas, so a board wide CE is not quite as special in her faction. I still say she is one of the most solid pieces in the game for her point value.

Yeah I agree with this. Those are three really great minis, but don't see much play. I think Leia Kedi Knight will be coming into the game more with Winter, you just have to be sure to control the damage dealt to her in order to get Winter's Protective ability working. But I think those two will be a nasty combo. I also think Kyle CI will see more play with V-Set 3 coming out, if it brings force users into a more prominant position in the game. Granting LS Duelist is great, but useless against Vong, and squads with no jedi. Kol Skywalker just doesn't have the damage output compared to other options in the New Republic and t hat will forever hamper him being used in top tier squads.

with all the New stuff to come out with the v-sets i think jabba crime lord has been underrated. HE is great with the echanis and atris. Also i think some of the Clone Commaders are very underrated. Commander Gree in the right squad can do some devastating damage, and Cody WIth accurate, Flurry and Deadly attack is great. That one crit can kill an enemy and go to whomever you want it to. And They synergise well together. Yeah their commander effects are kind of gimmicky, but they are fun.
General Aayla Secura is another. SHe is a nice pice even without he commander efect with Force Cloaked, and Cunning. SHe can get in one round and take out a good pice the next pretty easily. HE Commander Effect (WHile not as powerful as GOWK's) is great for All the Clones. DOuble is very useful for all the COmmanders and clones that just have a single attack. YEah Flobi gives extra to everyone for 16 points more with a few more tricks, but i would play her every time over him in a squad filled with clones. Gree and COdy get a huge boost with double, and if you already have rex in there then they have greater mobile too.

Maybe a bit higher in the point cost, but Jariah Syn is a great shooter. I know the newer Dash Rendar is a more common choice, but I like cunning and he rocks vs force users (which about everyone seems to be now-a-days).
Not including the Cunning vs Opportunist debate: Jariah = +14 for 30 against unique force users, once Dash = +6 for 10 against unique force users, 4 times
Now you can always argue the more shots the better, as one just has to evade, deflect, or whatever Jariah's single shot, but he's easy to give twin or extra with a number of pieces. And lets not forget how easy he is for newer players to acquire and that he has the razorbug/thud-bug abilities to help with mice and stunning.

Boba Fett, Young Mercenary - Cheap as accurate shooter with decent attack and access to many CEs and can get Double/Twin with a Czerka. I like having him in Reserves :)

+1 I used to think he was a waste of plastic, then I saw the light.

The Whiphid Tracker is one of my favorite additions to a team that has a Czerka in it. Twin Attack at +11 for 30 damage ain't too shabby. Add in Stealth and Sniper... better position your R2/R7/Lobot correctly!

I think the CS Agen Kolar is extremely underrated. A 19-DEF 120 HP dude with the best possibly defensive powers -- Block, Deflect, and Recovery 20! And all for just 29 points. Best bodyguard for Palpy IMHO. While he does minimal damage, he still is a great 'blockage' piece that your opponent will have a while taking down.
Another is General Kenobi. He's one of the original movement breakers of the game along with Ms. Leia and is still effective today. Well worth his cost for 36 but just doesn't have the potential of GOWK or OObi JG.
Yet a third from CS is the original Quiggy. Another awesome movement breaker, along with Force Absorb. It's pretty fun using Surprise Move to base a VAU and then Absorb his would-be Lightning 5. Again, not used much because of his newer COTF and JA counterparts.
One more from CS -- Count Dooku. The original duelist, 25-def against Jedi is no joke. His HP and ATK are also overwhelming. His Force Powers are a mix of both offensive and defensive powers, which is great (and who can forget the force glove?). Yet again though, usually people use his LOTF version b/c of Lightning 4 and Renewal.

I tried putting together an all-reserves squad once and was looking for the best bodyguard to keep the reservists alive long enough to hope for a good roll. Agen Kolar was the best option. He's still not a *good* piece. But he does have a role, so he does qualify as underrated.

Admiral Pelleaon. He gives Imperials offensive Ysalamiri. You get him up into the fight and have him cancel stuff. If they kill him they wasted shots killing your 16 point dude. He also is a pretty good shot with thrawn.

HE can Move 2 Shoot and move 1 (or 2 if you spent a force point) back potentially into cover. Plus his deadly and Flurry is a great combo. The only downside to him is He doesn't have accurate so those 4 shots at +8 are most likely going to fodder. Although i will say if you haunt him with a Force Spirit he can evade very well with Rieekan and still keep points for movement. Throw IN Ackbar for The extra attack bonus, or maybe someone with spotter or rangefinder and he can kick some butt. Of Course you could always use a Twilek BSV with Rieekan and give him actual greater Mobile, But Where is the Fun in That
