I would like to have an open discussion about a possible future product. This is our New Epic Map

">http://

1. Do you like this Map?
2. Do you want this WHOLE Map printed on high quality rugged Vinyl exactly how you see it?
3. How much would you be willing to pay for it? how much do you think is a faitr price?
4. If you have been in a SW minis slump, did looking at this map re-awaken your passion for Star Wars miniatures?

I like the map, and the thought of vinyl sounds really cool, but my first thought is that I think I'd rather see the maps oriented as

||
||

instead of

-
-
-
-

So I think I'd prefer 4 pieces so they can be re-arranged.

this would be one big vinyl map, so there wouldn't be any re-arranging.

They were in fact designed to be rearranged in any combination. For each piece, there are two 3-square wide roadways on all 4 sides and a 2-square door at each midpoint.

As printed in a huge banner, you would actually be able to cut them apart pretty easily and re-arrange them, but that's a pain for everybody.

Right, that's why I'd prefer 4 pieces instead of one big vinyl map.

Awesome map. ThumpUp

I see benefits to both a single map, and 4 separate sections.

No clue as to price suggestion for 1 large vinyl banner.

I'm guessing doing 4 pieces in vinyl would entail a higher production cost. Perhaps not that much.

If it is one or the other, I would probably side with the flexible arrangement option, though I do like the layout as presented, a lot.

If my usual trend continues, I will be compelled to buy it/them regardless of which way you guys go with it. Smile

This looks like it would be awesome, but ultimately, i don't have the space to use something so large. I couldn't justify the purchase based on that.

I like it! Are you talking about a vinyl "soccer-team" banner; or is the vinyl going to have some kind of padded backing, like some other gaming grids have had in the past (I'm thinking of D&D-type products, if I'm not imagining).

I've seen this map at GenCon for one of the mass battles, and let me tell you guys, it is fantastic! I would be willing to pay upwards of $30 for this beauty, especially since it wouldn't require laminations (and I laminate all my maps) It was really neat seeing multiple people facing off in team warfare on one giant map. I would prefer it to stay as one single piece, but if you do break it up into four maps then please print it on the same paper as your other maps.

1. i like this map
2. maybe, how long is this map? maybe 3 wide might fit on my gaming table, but not 4.
3.printed on vinyl i would say $30-$40 would be fairif double sided. possibly $50 depending on quality.
4.not really. i like maps but i already have a lot of great ones.

i think a hoth based map might be fitting for a map of that size

!) Map Rocks

@) I'd buy either way but would eventually cut them into four maps. But, I still would buy these even if they went to original printed maps like the others.

#) $30-$40 if double sided. $45-$50 if tiles or extras were included as well as being double sided.

$) Not really in a slump. Just no ones playing currently in my area.

1. Do you like this Map?

I like it, but it's a little repetitive which I don't find especially exciting. I'd be especially/more interested if the reverse side added some nice variety.

2. Do you want this WHOLE Map printed on high quality rugged Vinyl exactly how you see it?

Absolutely not. That would take away all flexibility which I do not like. I'd rather be able to arrange it the way I want (looks like you've set it up -- or easily could -- so we could arrange it several different ways, which will interest me more).

On vinyl is not appealing at all to me. I would want to store it with my other maps and this would make it hard (kind of like the ROTS starter map... a real pain).

3. How much would you be willing to pay for it? how much do you think is a faitr price?

I think your map packs are generally priced well ($40 for 8 maps). I'd stick with that sort of cost:map ratio if at all possible.

4. If you have been in a SW minis slump, did looking at this map re-awaken your passion for Star Wars miniatures?

Sorry (and while I love your work), but not really. Too repetitive as noted above. I like the general idea, but just 1-2 maps like this would do for me and I'd rather have some different maps. I have all of your maps except map pack one, but as is I don't see buying this one (especially if it is on vinyl).

In sum, I hope you'll consider making this another map pack... maybe with these for maps on one side so they can be put together in a variety of ways, and 4 different maps on the other side so we also get some variety.

I'm in pretty much the same boat here. I love maps that could link together, but really have no room at home for one that is already together. I would definitely cut it into four sections and would prefer to have it come that way originally with professionally straight cuts. I would most likely purchase a set like this either way - looks too cool to pass up - even if it were on the same stock as your other maps and not vinyl. If using vinyl, what weight material are you looking at? Similar to the preprinted square/hex grid maps I've seen or thinner like vinyl tablecloth thickness? I know the heavy stuff is certainly not cheap, but would be willing to pay 2x the price of regular paper for vinyl quality.

1. Yes this map is awesome and would make a good mass battles/zombies map
2. Yes I would like the whole map printed on vinyl like that.
3. I am assuming a price would be somewhere around the 40-60 $ mark and would buy one at that price, or two if they were cheaper then that.
4. I am never in a slump but this would be fun

I like the map and would support it. Having another map or set of maps like the ones you can put together would be awesome. Looking forward to it if it is feasable!

This map looks terrific!

I like that you're considering a massive vinyl print because that would be very handy for a multiplayer mass battle game, but I think the versatility of having them as 4 individual posters would be more valuable in the long run. If you've got to go one way or the other, go with the separate prints. The maps would see more use that way.

I really like that map and the idea of it being vinyl. I would be willing to pay a reasonable amount...say somewhere between $20-$40.
