Guess it's time to start a new thread for set 8 then?

To address the few things. Looks for v-set 8 to be smaller. 54 total cards. It would look like a 45 card regular set and a 9 card subset. This has to do with printer pricing. There are 18 cards per sheet, so it makes sense from a printer stand point that if half a sheet is the subset it makes things much easier to cut and sort.

With that V-set 7 in already in progress. Set 8 designers are being lined up and they wil start working on a set list soon.

As always thank you for all the input.

FWIW, if it's 54 cards total, I would vote for a 40-card set, a 12-card subset, and 2 'bonus' cards (BHC-type cards or reprints). That's just to keep with the WotC tradition of 60 and 40 card sets.

It also has to do with printing the card backs. 45/9 is the simplest setup for the printer, so keeps the cost lower.

This is correct. It has everything to do with saving money. We will pass the savings on to you :)
