Week 4 Weeks vs. Spry

Weeks wins 210-123. Weeks tank was just too much to chew through with a bunch of 10 Damage shooters. Took it down to 10HP but that was as far as it went. My tank piece lasted longer than I anticipated, but ultimately bit the dust.

It was a very fun game ill be retooling my squad a lot i think as about 50 points worth didnt get to do anything :).

Spry: 10 damage shooters???
Hmm...you busted my guys up pretty bad and I don't remember taking many 10 damage shots.
My Vader probably will never see the light of day after the beating he took. ;)

In the expansion to 200 I had to add in a lot of cheap shooters because my R/VR pulls have been nothing short of utter and epic failure. Well 2 of the 3 anyways. Whereas my opponents pulls have been nothing short of spectacular lol.

I'm with you on the epic fail. (as you saw from our game)
I thought your 150pt was pretty decent. I guess you really must have got a bad pull to not improve upon it.
Good luck with the next pull!

That piece is insanely good in this format. At 150 I pulled out all the stops but couldn't finish it off. Of course, he's got a freaking swarm of other good characters backing it up, so it's just adding insult to injury.

creme_brule vs. TheStarKiller

140-100; creme_brule wins

close game...starkille came close...he should've killed my main killer in the begginging (my senate commando)...like Demothenes (i think) said, senate commandos are totally worth the points...esp. with a commander effect that totally boosts them. lol

his main melee beat pretty much took a whole bunch of dmg from my senate commando, and he lost nearlyy 1/4 of his squad in the 2nd round...i knocked off a few of his beats hereadn there, and he kept focusing his attacks on the senate, liteally misseing everytime...and his vong with thud shot at hi twice...and he made both saves! the commanders pretty much gave me the upper hand, and his rolls were pretty shabby (IMO, though he said he "held his own")...well played, played like a pro def.

GG def. :)

yet (no joke) you must've been extremely good to pull off 3 straight wins ifyouve had 3 straight "phail"pulls...also, youd be amazed at what you could do with eventhe "worst" characters but with no faction rules...BigGrin

Week 4 matchup:

Emissary at Darth Percocet

Emissary wins 133 to 126, the match went to time.

You talk about your close and good matches....this was it. I was so worried once my beats were killed but I pulled a win out.........somehow. Init rolls weren't with me at the beginning, but at the end they were and I have to say that they did help me win the game. No MVP's for this game, I had to pull out all the stops and use my bag of tricks to win this one.

And Percocet...again...mad props to you. That was an excellent game!

Celestial Warrior vs Wysten week 4

167-127 The Celestial Warrior wins by concession. Still time left but it was evident that the game was over.

Played match, 124 to 167 in his favour. Tactical blunders and a number of random absences cost me the game, my squad got spilt up and he slowly wore me down. Yoda did little and chewie turned out to be a disapointment, missing an attack to swat one of his shooters that eventrally got me. By the end of the game I only had two figures left and he had 4, so I decided to call it a day.

Good game though, the dice gods were definately on your side.

Oh, and a extra 20 points for being patient, so 187. I was on and off for the first half of the match, so I appologse for the awkward arrangement, most of the time I am fairly flexable.

Week 3 Match Up Skeeve3000 vs Boba Fett

Boba Fett wins 104 to 55

My mostly melee squad was no match for his Han Galatic Hero and Rieekan Combo. I only had two shooters and they only made one hit. He did a good job and won the game fair and square.

REMINDER

When making up matches from previous weeks, you may ONLY use boosters that were available to you during that week. If, for example, you're making up a Week 1 match, you may only use the two boosters you picked at the beginning of the season; if you're making up a Week 2 match, you may only use the two opening boosters, and your booster from Winning/Losing your Week 1 match. And so on.

This doesn't have anything to do with skeeve/Boba, they just reminded me that I had to post this, lol.

Greentime pulled it out over Cicrush13 197-54.

Any time you need to make 6 grenades saves, you did something wrong and your opponent did something very right, but I was very lucky and only failed the ones I could afford to fail. He could have easily killed 60 points of stuff and pulled right back into it. Very tight game that just broke near the end.

Cicrush13 was a great person to play with. It was always clear what was happening on the "table" and it was lots of fun just bantering and laughing about how the game was going.
