I got a feeling that Zero-G Obi will be something with either GMA or LS assault with flight. If he has SSM, I hope it is in a balanced format.

I didn't say they would change SSM, I am merely implying that this piece might be more balanced (no MOTF2, Mettle, KA CE) to cause as much grief as the previous incarnation.

The others look like other characters that have been repainted and changed a bit. Eh, the Asajj Ventress looks exactly like the pose on the previewed card i think. Granted, it's a tiny bit out of shape, but i think we all know that the minis tend to do that easily. I know i've gotten my share of battle droids bending 90 degrees so they appear lying down.

The preview card I saw had Ventress standing forward with her lightsabers held out to her sides. This one doesn't look like that, except for the same clothing. But it's entirely possible that I'm wrong. Like you said, mini's can be warped. And like someone else said earlier, it's not the first time that a miniature figure is different than the card (RotS Anakin anyone?).

It just dawned on me that this set appears to be the stylized version of the CW show. That will be odd when you have the more realistic (relatively speaking) versions of the previous pieces. That might be where the differences lie. The picture on the card for Assajj was more like the old art and this mini looks more like the CW show in the face.

I looked up the card for Ventress again and saw that the pose is the same as the "custom mini" picture. I take back what I said in my earlier post.

OMG I found this on the forums @ the wizards website from someone @ Gen-con: 8/14/09 - Captain Rex, 501st Commander and Asajj Ventress, Strike Leader revealed at GenCon. Also a clearer view of the boosters are found, revealing Cad Bane, Anakin Skywalker and General Worm Loathesome as figures in GaW. GETTING LOATHSOME!!!!!!!!

I got my hopes up to until I realized how many names in the Republic faction start before Captain Rex: Aayla Aerial (anything) Agen Ahsoka Alderaan Anakin Antarian ARC (anything) AT-RT Bail Barriss Captain Panaka Captain (anything before R) ...and I'm sure I missed some... BUT...with Captain Rex listed at #26, we may still see a BUNCH of Seps yet. (fingers crossed)

Well, wasn't it said that there were only 16 figures from "the clone wars"? So wouldn't that leave approx 16 spots for GCW pieces and then 8 for fringe?

Based on what we have seen, I think it is meaning 16 characters who have not been in mini form.

As long as they are new minis with new abilities, I'll be happy. I can see one or two reprints for new players, but lets see some fresh ideas please WotC. Some more minis with direct damage would be nice.
